A Note from Pastor Doug

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement following my fall one week ago, Thursday, March 7. I fell at my home fracturing 6 of my ribs on the brick mantle fireplace. I am thankful for the treatment and assistance I received while in the hospital, Saturday to Tuesday and for all that Desiree and our sons have done to help out.

During this time I have worked from home, with correspondence, phone calls and attending our Call Committee meeting. I am so thankful for Pastor Eduardo who has filled in for me, Katherine who is managing our church office, and our Elders and Leadership Council who have also really stepped up. Thanks also to Liz and Patty and everyone involved in renovations being made in Heritage Hall for the CDC expansion. Prior to my accident the parking lot was paved – doesn’t it look great! Now we have lights and fans in the choir loft. God is good!

I look forward to being on campus again soon. We miss you all and again thank you for all you do at Trinity, and for your prayers and encouragement.

In Christ,

Pastor Doug

From the Call Committee:

In addition to the three names of candidates received from the congregation, we also received some additional names from the FL/GA District. The list of candidates being reviewed by the Call Committee currently includes:

  • Rev. Eduardo Martinez
  • Rev. Kermit Rickenberg
  • Rev. Jonathan van Sliedrecht
  • Rev. Timothy Eden
  • Rev. Nicholas Koschmann
  • Rev. Andrew Wrasman

A document with information on each of the candidates is available in the church office. As this document contains sensitive information, it cannot be copied, photographed, or removed from the church office; however, any members of the congregation are welcome to view it in the church office.

Opportunity to Host an Intern

A LCMS Pastor's daughter is looking for a room to rent this summer while she is in town for an internship. She needs housing from May 20 to August 16 and would be in Orlando during the week and going home for most weekends. If you have a room or space in which you would like to host her or if you have any questions, contact the church office.

Calling All Volunteers!

Trinity appreciates all the work our volunteers do to keep our ministries going. We don't do "good deeds" to be rewarded, but everyone likes to be thanked and acknowledged occasionally.

Now is the time! Volunteers in all areas are invited to the Volunteer Appreciation Diner (spaghetti dinner) on Sunday, April 14 at 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please sign up in the narthex or by using this link by April 8.
