JESUS AND THE WORD ARE ENOUGH

Over 500 years ago a monk had enough of church corruption, loss of the Gospel, and the Bible hidden in plain sight in language that people could not understand. He stood for the truth that the Word of God and Jesus are enough! All of us have had enough today of some of the same things and the answer remains the same. Jesus and the Word are Enough. Join us this Sunday for our combined service at 10am for Reformation Sunday and to hear the children from our Preschool and School sing for worship.

Combined Service - October 29th

Reformation Sunday is quickly approaching and we want to have a great celebration for all the good things that God has done in giving us salvation as a free gift through Jesus. We will have one service at 10:00am where the children from our ECDC and K-8 School will be singing. After the service everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for a great potluck. We are asking people with last names A-M to bring a breakfast casserole and N-Z to bring sweet rolls or pastry.

TRINITY YOUTH

The Youth Group will be meeting this Sunday at 2pm and heading to Harvest Moon in Gobles. Bring a friend and come out to gather and have a great time. No one can outshoot pastor on the gord catapult.

Sunday is the Day!

We will be having a door collection to support our Hand2Hand /Feeding Kids ministry this morning (and the last Sunday of every month) as you leave the church.

The number of students we are helping has increased by more than 50% this school year, and we can use your help to provide weekend bags of food. Our partnership with Hand2Hand allows us to purchase food items at a reduced cost, allowing our funds to go further.

Please consider donating SUNDAY!! Also, if anyone has a Thrivent Grant to use before the end of the year, please contact Karole Baar at (616) 340-6940, and I can help you direct your dollars to this ministry.

Thank you from the entire team!

Table Groups (Small Groups)

Pastor Phifer is working to form some Table Groups for Trinity. A small group or Table Group is a way to share life together, support and pray for one another, and strengthen one another through the study of the Word of God. If you would like to be a part of a Table Group or even lead a table group please sign up in the welcome center on the podium marked TABLE GROUPS.

As we go into November and we look at all the things for which we can be thankful it is also a time to look at how we have responded to all God's blessings. As discipoles we want to be good stewards of the gifts that God has given to us, not simply as Thanksgiving to God but also because our hearts and lives have been changed to be more like His heart. How can you respond in thanksgiving to God that His kingdom may be built and grow?

Ladies (spouses), com join us for our next Bible study on Blessings, a topic perfect for Thanksgiving! We will meet Monday, November 13th from 7pm - 8pm in Trinity’s welcome center (donut room). Please use the east entrance. For those who wish to stay, we will be having our LWML meeting after the Bible Study. We will be discussing Christmas by candlelight and other agenda items. Please save the date, Dec 9th for Christmas by Candlelight, watch for further details. For more information contact Jan Drummond (269) 628-4513 or Clair Patrick (269) 492-8771.

TRINITY SCHOOL UPDATE

The trees are turning, leaves are falling, and we've come to the end of the first marking period of the school year. We are blessed with the wonderful staff and teachers we have to serve the children spiritually, emotionally, and academically.

Join us this Sunday, Oct 29th at 10 AM for a special combined worship service where our school children PreK-8 will be singing.

Lawrence Athletic Co-Op: Football season was a success with 2 of our middle school boys getting a lot of field time on the Lawrence team. They were welcomed into the group and enjoyed their experience. Boys basketball and Competitive Cheer began this week with 3 more students taking advantage of this extracurricular opportunity.

It was great to see so many attend Grandparents and Special Person's Day last Friday. The gym was packed and so was our church during a special Chapel service. After worship adults and their children participated in special events hosted by the teachers. It was wonderful to see so many people come to support each of these young ones. Thank you to the PTL and everyone who helped host the event, it was a huge success.

Coming Soon: “Disciples Living as Grace-filled Stewards” - Starting in November. JESUS SAID, “IF YOU ABIDE IN MY WORD, YOU ARE TRULY MY DISCIPLES” (JOHN 8:31).

“Whoever says ‘I know Him’ but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps His word, in him truly the love of God is

perfected” (1 John 2:4).
