Gratitude, Recovery, and Come and Take It

A huge thanks to the Buildings and Grounds Committee and their friends who continue to cleanup our campus. Led by Jr Warden, Tim Rogers, and Sexton, Ken Nesbitt, our B&G folks had keep making this campus more beautiful every day.

Members of the vestry and staff are also working with Church Insurance to assess and repair damages to the sanctuary roof and rose window along with the roofs to office and nursery. Please be aware of caution tape and additional work crews on campus in the coming weeks.

Come and Take It - Firewood and Mulch that is. If you see it on the grounds, you're welcome to take it home.

Notes from your Music Director

The choir had a glorious time in the choir loft at the 150th Anniversary Celebration. Many thanks to Our Brass Quartet - Hunter Close, Thomas Shafer, Arthur Motl, and Blake Lowak - all students at Texas State Fine Arts. It was wonderful to see Jennifer Conte, past Music Scholar, Children's Choir Director, and Assistant Director, and Sarah Ellis, past Choir Scholar and Assistant Director in the Choir loft for the celebration.

As we get closer to the end of the choir Season, I want to give a hearty shout out to our Graduating Seniors - Abe Villarreal, Bell Choir, Sunday School singers, Choir Scholar; Ainsley Williams, Choir Scholar; and Jasmin Granados, Assistant Director, Choir Scholar. These three have been absolutely amazing - as well as all our other scholars - Julie Picasso, Ryan Kelly, Val Hernandez-Cardona, Klaudia Chase. Many Thanks to all our other Choir members - both in the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, and Sunday School Singers. It has been an amazing season.

Choir will go on hiatus the month of July but we will be back with renewed vigor in August. Thanks so much St. Mark's for all your support!

Outreach with St. Mark's

Seeking Volunteers to Assist with Oversight of St Mark’s Honduras Mission Activities

Your opinions would be helpful in considering issues relevant to the support of Manos de Dios activities and our “Breakfast for Schoolchildren” mission in Honduras. Manos activities might include presentations at St Mark’s and planning for their annual mission trips in January. Breakfast program issues typically concern requests for help with facilities improvements at Ojo de Agua. Your help would provide broader St Mark’s input to the 2 or 3 mission travelers that currently the first responders to these questions. We would expect to meet no more frequently than once a quarter for an hour or two. There are no expectations that participants will become mission travelers but there would be no better way for you to be informed of mission trip plans should you choose to participate. Please contact Dean Lalich at (512) 757-5307 or dlalich@grandecom.net if you are willing to help.

College Students/Young Adults - Join the Manos de Dios team on our next mission trip to Honduras in 2025. Travel awards are now available for our 2 – 9 January mission trip. For more information contact Dean Lalich at dlalich@grandecom.net or Patricia Perea at ManosHonduras@gmail.com. Applications are now being accepted. Visit our Honduras Mission page for more information!

The Diaper Pantry always needs your help!

Diapers are an essential item for families and one that is not provided or covered by government assistance programs like SNAP or WIC. For the last 4 years, this ministry has grown into a community staple and support network for 300+ families in our community. Please help us continue this vital ministry by donating to our fund using the link below, or bringing in a box of diapers to add to the pantry. Thanks so much for supporting the littlest members of the St. Mark's Community!
