As is traditional, the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday offering will go to support the ministries of the three dioceses of the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East.

The Ash Wednesday offering will go to support Episcopal Relief & Development.

Join us for the Decorating of the Sanctuary

and the Filling of the Easter Eggs

Decorating the Sanctuary

The decorating of Trinity for Easter will be Saturday, March 30th, at 9 am in the sanctuary.

We will also meet in Barber Hall at 10:30 am on Saturday to fill Easter Eggs.

We want to make our worship space as welcoming and as beautiful as possible for the many new friends we will meet on Easter morning. Help is needed for moving and setting up flowers and cleaning up afterwards.

Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Come and enjoy this happy morning of fellowship and beauty.

All are welcome!

Trinity's Outreach: Food Requests

Trinity's Outreach needs your help. Please bring macaroni boxes, pasta, tuna, rice and other food items for those with food insecurity.

You can leave your food donations in the small red wagon parked in the church Narthex.

A Trinity Youth Art Exhibit

During Lent 2024, the Sunday school youth completed an art project titled “Honoring My Burdens."

After age-appropriate discussions with each class, the Sunday school teachers provided white shoes and art supplies and invited the children to decorate the shoe. They were encouraged to share their burdens or concerns through their artwork in order to help others “Walk a Mile in Someone Else’s Shoes."

Currently, the exhibit is in Jameson Hall; following Easter, it will be moved to the Narthex. Please be sure to look closely at the burdens our youth carry daily and, perhaps, walk a mile in their shoes. We think you’ll be surprised at all our youth are managing on a daily basis.

Staff Update

Shaun Johnson has ended his time with Trinity. We are grateful for his time with us. Mother Cynthia is interviewing prospective parish administrator candidates.

Notes From The Edge

Holy Week is upon us and I hope you will take part in our various services as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter.

Spring is just around the corner and our grounds are looking great. Many thanks to Robin Barrett, Judi Blalock, Marti Harrington, and Elaine Pearson for all their hard work.

We need your help! In order to provide a Nusery for our young families, volunteers are required to help in the Nursery. Safe Church training is required but that can be easily completed online.

As my dearly departed mother use to tell me, “many hands make light work," so our goal is to get enough people willing to work in the Nursery so it doesn’t become burdensome.

Please contact me or Mother Cynthia (cynthia@trinity-fredericksburg.org) should you like to help with this very important ministry or need additional information.

Lastly, please take the time to read the excellent History of Trinity compiled by Jean Hunt and Karla Snellings. This was a labor of love for these two ladies and provides a wonderful insight into what makes Trinity so special.

On behalf of the entire Vestry, thank you for your continued financial support.

Trinity: A Brief History Through The Lens of Racial Justice and Healing

Trinity's Committee for Racial Healing is happy to share our recently released report: Trinity Episcopal Church - A Brief History through the Lens of Racial Justice and Healing. Prompted by the Diocese of Virginia's Ministry for Racial Justice and Healing, as outlined in the preface of the report, our committee's History Team opted to broaden the scope of the report. While fulfilling the diocesan request, we also aimed for a report that is representative of the overall focus and life of our parish. It is not an exhaustive report, but we believe that it provides a largely representative view of our parish priorities, activities, and evolution over our 147-year history, while also describing Trinity's efforts and responses regarding racial justice and healing throughout our history.

Happy 2024 Trinity Youth & Families!

We have a bunch of fantastic events lined up for our Service Action Group and Fun Stars in the months to come!

April is around the corner and we have MANY great activities planned for our Trinity Youth!

Up first, just to make sure your gears are turning, we have scheduled a family-friendly bike ride from Old Mill Park along the Canal Path loop on April 7 with a picnic lunch.

Parents-- we need your help!

Even if it has been years since you’ve been on a bike (you know what they say about getting back on a bicycle), we could use a few extra adults to help supervise on the trail. From previous similar excursions that we have experienced with varying ages and skill level of the riders, we have found there tend to be 2-3 packs that naturally form. With enough help, we should be able to accommodate riders from the scootering/ balance bike/ early training wheels level up through those who are confident and responsible on two wheels!

Please reach out to me (Jenn) to let me know if you and your child(ren) are planning to attend, weather permitting, and your family’s comfort level.

The Canal Path offers a variety of straight and curvy passes, a trip UNDER the main road, a couple of street crossings, and some wonderful views of our beautiful town.

ALL AGES WELCOME- Hope to see you all there!

News from the Trinity Library

The Library Committee welcomes Margaret Pullen as its newest member. We are delighted to have Margaret on our team.

I want to recognize a few of the Library’s “angels.” The first is Claire Curcio.  In addition to financial support, Claire and Selby purchase and assemble furniture for the library. Claire is always willing to lend a hand and has been so very supportive of library in many ways.

Kathie Holliday will be making new valences for the Ida Beck chapel and the library.  No more “Leave it to Beaver” look for us.  Kathie will design something a bit more tailored and classic.

Randall Clingenpeel always sees that our plants have enough water to drink.  He keeps them alive and well.

Phyllis Rundman supplies us with our fine selection of greeting cards, free for the taking.

On behalf of the Library Committee, many thanks to the four of you for your talents and generosity.

Don’t forget to take a look at the coffee table in the library on Sunday.  There will be treats and Easter gift books for the kids.
