The Episcopal Church's General Convention

The triennial gathering of the Episcopal Church known as the General Convention met in Louisville, KY from June 20th to June 28th. You can get information on their work by using the Media Hub arranged by the Office of Public Affairs:

The Media Hub has livestreams from the House of Bishops and House of Deputies sessions, selected clips and highlights, photos, press conferences, interviews, highlights, and articles. It's a great way to learn about what is going on in the wider church - this year we elected a new Presiding Bishop! Read about him at this link.

As you may know, Mother Carrie's other role is working for the General Convention Office of the Episcopal Church. This is the staff that supports the legislative work of the church, during the gathering of General Convention and in the years in between.

We still need some hosts for COFFEE HOUR! Please sign up in the Upper Parish Hall.

Consider the SUMMER COFFEE HOUR in the courtyard! No hot coffee - just good weather, a card table, juice or iced tea, and some nibbles.

Join in a discussion of the incredible book, “On the City of God Against the Pagans” by St. Augustine of Hippo.

Parishioners Ella, Greg and Bob will lead a discussion on this incredible work, commonly known as "The City of God." Don’t worry - they have all read it so you don’t have to!

Join us after Coffee Hour on Sundays now through July 14. Each week will have different "City of God" topics presented.

All are welcome!

Crystal Teal Co. is working with several Torrington High School Advanced Placement Art students - including Trinitarian Caroline Sienkiewicz - to create a mural that is visible from the Trinity parking lot.

If you appreciate the beauty of this mural, please drop in to Crystal Teal at 76 Water Street and thank them for making our parking lot more beautiful!

And keep watching the mural as it nears completion!

If you have an announcement or event that you would like publicized, or if you are a parishioner involved in an event that you would like to share with the parish, please send it to The Portal at, and we can then direct your announcement to the best method of communication.
