Stewpot Volunteers needed on December 8th & 9th
|
We will be meeting in the kitchen at Trinity Church at
9:30 AM Saturday, the 8th
, to chop, boil, sauté, and mix.
Then on the
9th, Sunday morning at the Stewpot,
we need people to open cans by 9:00 AM or so, and we'll start plating up at 10:15.

Week 1 – Stories around Christ’s Birth
The Stained Glass class for Sunday, December 8
th
will focus on three different window stories that relate to the birth of Jesus: the Annunciation, the Epiphany (visit of the Magi), and the Flight into Egypt. Meet us at 8:30 in the church nave for 30 minutes of exploration and conversation! Class handouts are available on the parish website under the Evangelism tab.

Vesty Elections - Nominations are due by December 25, 2018
|
On the 20
th
of January, Trinity Church will hold its Annual Meeting. On the agenda of the Annual meeting will be the election of four members to serve on the Vestry. The process for electing new vestry members is as follows:
Nominees must be Episcopalians in good standing.
“Good standing” equates to:
- Confirmed Member of the Episcopal Church and a Member of Trinity Church
- regular attendance at services and church events
- being officially pledged to the church (for the year 2019) and will continue pledging
- the ability to attend most Vestry meetings (usually held once per month)
- being involved (or will become involved) in service and ministry at Trinity Church
- being “visible” in the life of the parish
Nominators should first check with potential nominees to ascertain their willingness to stand for Vestry election. Nominees are responsible for ensuring that they meet the above criteria.
Nominations may be made by completing a paper form that can be obtained in the Church Office, or you can print out a nomination form
here

Refuel yourself by becoming a Santa for a senior this holiday season! Doing so not only allows you an opportunity to provide gifts for a Senior in need but possibly initiate a much needed, lasting friendship. The 2018 Santa’s for Seniors Christmas party will be at the Adams County Nursing home

TRINITY MEN'S BREAKFAST ON THURSDAYS at 7 AM
A few years ago, several men gathered on Thursdays in the Parish Hall for fellowship and reflection over a hardy breakfast. Preparing the breakfast was a shared responsibility (as well as kitchen clean-up). There is some talk in reviving this tradition but we need to know if there is an interest.\ If interested or need details, contact Mike Gemmell at

Monthly Birthday Celebration
Adams County Nursing Home

The monthly birthday celebration will take place
Friday, December 28th at 3 p.m. at the Adams County Nursing Home.
The celebration only takes about an hour and is an incredibly rewarding experience. If you are unable to donate your time please consider making a monetary donation.
Checks can be made out to Trinity Church earmarked for Santas for Seniors and turned into the church office or Melinda Ballard. Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated!
