Flower Guild volunteers are needed!
|
Curious about what happens behind the scenes in worship services at Trinity? Parts of the scene are flowers, flanking the altar as a celebration of God's natural bounty and the creativity God has given humans. The arrangers, and often the growers of those flowers are Trinity parishioners who serve on the Flower Guild.
You, too, may explore this ministry. Teams of two or three take turns on a six-or-so week rotation. New volunteers team up with experienced hands to learn. All are welcome! Call
Amelia Salmon 601 443-1042
to learn more.

Daughters of the King Trinity Chapter - Prayer Box
|
Daughters of the King Trinity Chapter is a national Order of Episcopal Women dedicated to prayer, service, and evangelism. Our ladies pray for many people inside and outside the church on an individual basis and collectively. You can fill out a card in the back of the church and place it in the prayer box near the entry doors asking for private prayer for a person(s) or situations without giving your name (unless you choose to provide it) and without having your request placed on the published church prayer list. Each card is completely confidential and discreetly given to one member of the Order. The prayer cards are never discussed in the group or with anyone else. That one Daughter prays for 30 days for that which is written on the card. We invite you to utilize this prayer box knowing your request is privately received and prayed for in Christ's name. Also, as a reminder, you may call Ann O'Bryant in the Church Office in times of illness for support or be placed on the posted prayer list.
The Daughters of the King meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4 PM in the Parish Hall of Trinity Church.

Recognizing and Avoiding Email Scams
|
Please be aware that someone started sending emails from an address that looked similar to Father Ken’s email address. These emails were in fact a hacker. Ignore and delete these emails. Do not respond to emails sent from a fake email account or click on any content within the email. Do not give out your personal information
It is easy to be fooled by some of the spam content that comes through your inbox, but I have gathered some information to help arm yourself against hackers. Number one rule is to never share your personal information on the internet, through email, or over the phone. Your bank, government affiliates, and most likely your Pastor, friends and family will never ask you to send them money, click a third-party link or request personal information via email. Again, never share your personal information or respond to emails you may think are spam. Here are a few rules to go by:
- Do not give out personal information
- Know who is sending you emails
- Look for typos, grammatical errors, and phrasing
- Never open or download attachments (unless you know what they are)
- Do not trust unsolicited emails
If you want to read more on how to defend against scam emails, I have included two articles, one from
Return Path Blog
and one from wikihow.com which gives you examples of that spam email looks like,
click here to read the article.
I have also included a PDF from the
United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team
(US-CERT). Learn how to spot a fake email or spam and be aware of what you put on the internet. Make sure you use strong passwords to help protect you and your information from internet hackers.
warm regards,
Katie Ernst

For the Right Use of God's Gifts
Almighty God, whose loving hand hath given us all that we possess: Grant us grace that we may honor thee with our substance, and, remembering the account which we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of thy bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
