The dinners start promptly at 5:30pm. Seating is limited to a maximum of 40 guests. The Cave has a 48-hour cancellation policy. Credit cards are required at time of booking reservations and will not be charged unless you fail to cancel in time, or no show for the dinner. 1st Course: Shrimp, Clam and Mussel in Coconut-Saffron Broth with Grilled Garlic Baguette and Crispy Herbs & Vegetables paired with Trefethen Dry Riesling
2nd Course: Chilled Spicy Grilled Pork Flat Iron with Raspberry Jam, Grilled Lemon Vinaigrette Dressed Greens with Radish Sprouts, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Fresh Figs and Grated Spanish Manchego Cheese paired with Trefethen Estate Chardonnay
3rd Course: Beef Tartare on a bed of Wild Mushroom Confetti, Toasted Brioche and Hollandaise paired with Trefethen Estate Merlot
4th Course: Cranberry Crusted Lamb Chop with Roasted Spiced Potatoes, Gorgonzola Herb Sauce and Cranberry Dust paired with Trefethen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
5th Course: Layered Fig and Grilled Peach Cake with Buttercream and Spiced Cremon Glaze paired with Trefethen Late Harvest Riesling
The Trefethen winery representative co-hosting this dinner with us will be bringing a special bottle of wine from the winery to share with our guests in addition to the five paired wines. We will be offering a one time 10% discount on all Trefethen wines purchased by the case (mix and match ok). Discount applies to Trefethen Wines only and is valid on purchases made in store during the dinner only.
The Cave is located inside The Ventura Wine Company retail store at: 4435 McGrath St. #301 (at the corner facing Telephone Road) Ventura, CA 93003.
This Wednesday Night (September 18th) is ladies night out in The Cave. We will be hosting a Stella & Dot Trunk Show and optional $5 Wine Tasting featuring Rosenblum Cellars and Velvet Crush Wines. The trunk show and wine tasting will take place between 6-8pm and will not interfere with those coming in for regular dinner service in The Cave.

PS.... as the summer comes to a close and Fall quickly approaches, we have had people asking about our once yearly, annual wine tasting event. This years super event will be held on Sunday November 10, 2013 outside behind Ventura Wine Company. Event details and tickets will be available the end of September!
