66 Year Lease Approved!

San Francisco Mayor and Board of Supervisors has approved our 66 year lease on the new property adjacent to our current facility. Thanks again to everyone involved in the process and to those who continue to support our mission.

Our Adult Courses run every weekend throughout the year. Whether you are new to sailing, looking to brush up your skills, or continue your sail training, WE HAVE A COURSE FOR YOU!
Program Highlight
Set, Sail, Learn! 

Wow! It has been a busy Spring at TISC. 

Our 4th grade program continues to grow and we look forward to setting another milestone with our last class on May 23rd. 

Registration for the 2019-20 School Year is Opening Soon.
Please contact us if you are interested in bringing your class of 4th or 5th graders to TISC.

Inspiration from the Pros! 

Hans and Riley from team USA dropped by TISC to speak with and inspire our Junior sailors before the SailGP Race. What an impressive weekend that was on the City front! 

They left a lasting impression and our junior sailors who now have a need for speed! Check out the video here.

Opening Day 2019 
Thank you, Thank you,           Thank you!

A huge thanks to our volunteers for making yet another successful Opening Day possible. 

We served over 250 people and it couldn't have happened with out all of your help. 

A specials thanks and shout out to our Program Coordinator, Luxine who organizes the event every year. It runs smoother and smoother every year! 

Next Volunteer Day is June 1st at 10am! Come help us prep for Summer Camp and learn how to rig small boats! Maybe we will even race in the BUG Boats :) 
Staff Spotlight
Meet our Newest Instructors


We would like to introduce our two newest staff members, from left to right, Travis Mackin and Joaquin DelaRiva. 

We are very excited to have them on board and they have made excellent additions to our team. 

Travis has been busy getting our 5th grade program rolling this Spring in addition to teaching all of our STEM programming. Travis previously worked at San Francisco Maritime National Park as a living history educator and deckhand aboard Balclutha and Alma. During the summer Travis heads up Camp Galileo and loves to teach kayaking, sailing, and backpacking. We look forward to his return in the Fall!

Joaquin is out newest Adult Keel Boat Instructor and has been doing a fantastic job! Joaquin has previously worked at Lake Merritt Boating Center and South Beach Riggers. He has a wealth of knowledge and a talent for teaching. Joaquin will stay on with us year round, say hello next time your at TISC!
