Travis Park Splash Pad Summer Opening Delayed

The eagerly awaited opening of Travis Park Splash Pad for the summer season, initially slated for April 1, will be delayed.

The city of Rosenberg has several contractors working on the Splash Pad and surrounding park area. The construction projects include essential electrical and mechanical infrastructure upgrades and maintenance work, including installing the new water recirculation system. These projects, while necessary for the long-term improvement and safety of the area, combined with supply-chain demands impacting delivery of needed parts and equipment, have unfortunately impacted the timeline for the splash pad's opening.

“We understand excitement regarding the Splash Pad’s opening for the season - especially with summer right around the corner,” said City Manager John Maresh. “We are making every effort for what we can control to expedite the project and reopen the water feature as soon as possible.”

Weather permitting, the City hopes the construction is completed and the Splash Pad is reopened by early June.
