Join the Travel Presentation on July 23!

Join the Collette Travel Services representative this Tuesday, July 23, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. for a kick-off presentation of our new affiliation and upcoming tours for OLLI at SOU in 2025.

This fun and informative Zoom meeting will include overviews of two featured OLLI at SOU tours: “Spotlight on San Antonio” in April 2025 and “Canyon Country” in September 2025.

Register Now for the OLLI at SOU Open House!

There is much to see and do at the 9th Annual OLLI Open House on August 6, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. Join us at the SOU Stevenson Union to learn more about the many ways to stay mentally stimulated and socially engaged, not only through OLLI at SOU classes and activities, but also via SOU programs and the work of our nonprofit community partners. It's a great opportunity to mingle with friends, enjoy refreshments, and enter to win valuable door prizes.

Be sure to register in advance so there are enough refreshments. There is a special door prize benefit for those who both register and attend—an extra ticket for a chance to pick any of the prize packages of your choice before the other drawings occur. Bring a friend!

2024-25 OLLI at SOU memberships are available now! Sign in to our online catalog to purchase your membership. Front office volunteers and program staff are on hand to help you with purchasing your annual membership.

NOTICE: Emergency Contact Information Now Required

We are now collecting emergency contact information when you purchase your annual membership. Having easily accessible emergency contact information is an important safety measure. Please provide the name, number, and relationship of your emergency contact person.

Important Registration Dates:

• Monday, July 29: Fall term catalog PDF available online/print catalogs mailed
• Monday, August 12: Online course catalog live
• Monday, August 12–23: Priority Registration period
• Tuesday, September 3: Open Registration begins
• September 16–November 22: Fall 2024 Term

OLLI Instructor Karen Grove was featured in the Osher NRC's July Newsletter. Her Spring 2024 course "See Like a Geologist: Coastal Landscapes" was included in the Curriculum Corner section of the newsletter, which highlights innovative courses among OLLIs across the country.

Start Thinking About Winter Course Proposals...

The 2025 Winter Course Proposal form goes live Thursday, August 1! The OLLI at SOU catalog has hosted more than 100 courses the last several terms. We offer courses ranging from the arts to the sciences--and nearly everything in between. For two to ten sessions during the winter term, there’s an OLLI audience waiting to take part in your knowledge, skills, and passions. Winter term runs Monday, January 6–Friday, March 14.

Lifelong Learning Opportunities

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 23! OLLI instructor/member and SOU Professor Emerita Peg Evans is performing a FREE all-organ concert "Pipes and Pedals" to celebrate the 50th anniversary the SOU Worth Harvey Organ.

This incredible performance will take place in the SOU Music Recital Hall, room 114 from 2:00–3:00 p.m. Free parking will be provided in lot 36.
