State of the Development Authority of Clayton County and State of Clayton County: Recap

Last month, we celebrated numerous achievements for Clayton County and our region. A highlight was the State of Clayton County Development Authority event at the Porsche Experience Center. Let's continue our efforts to break barriers and pave the way for many more success stories.

Virginia Delegation Metro Atlanta Tour

A delegation of leaders from ChamberRVA is visiting Atlanta, where several local leaders extended genuine Southern hospitality.

The Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance, Inc. hosted part of the group for a special tour around Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, including a notable stop at Gateway Center Arena, led by Mercedes Miller and her team ✈️

This visit was a valuable opportunity to share best practices and forge new relationships. It was truly a fantastic group.

Forever Young Aquaponics Breaks Ground on a 70,000 Square Foot Aquaponics Facility in Clayton County

The Andrew J. Young Foundation, in partnership with Forever Young Aquaponics, and in collaboration with the Clayton County Board of Commissioners, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Forever Young Aquaponics facility on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The 70,000 sq ft facility is poised to revolutionize the local agricultural landscape, offering sustainable, organic, leafy greens to nine major cities throughout the southeast.

The new campus in East Point, GA, is now enrolling students for training in eight essential skilled career paths. This campus offers hands-on training in the automotive field and skilled trades, with programs available at both the Certificate and Associate Degree levels, depending on the chosen program. Training will be provided in Automotive Technology, Electrical/Electronics, HVAC, and Welding.
