August 2011

Jeff Lockenour

Greeting's from the Big D!

We could not be happier that the NFL has come together and our beloved Cowboys will play ball! Personally I am amazed how quickly the rumors of trades, secret deals and even Farve possibly coming back? Just like the NFL teams adjust and position themselves for the Super Bowl, businesses must adjust as well for a similar end game. One of my favorite quotes  "Don't wait - the time never be just right" keeps us moving forward and adjusting our business to service you better.

Some changes required to support the GSA contract include the addition of design and services fee's to our pricing in accordance with 711-94. Greg outlines below our new GSA quick ship program below.  This new service will provide faster lead times on smaller orders provided orders are received by the cut-off date for production. This service will provide a clear planning path for dealers to plan for the clients needs knowing exactly when the product will arrive.

A comment came back to us questioning our performance matrix on shipping projects. Our goal is to ship 100% on time as promised-complete with no back orders. If a project ships on time- but has a back order, it is not complete and in our eyes not on time.

Finally, we conducted our internal certified installer training the week of July 25th, and proudly certified 12 of our own from coast to coast! All passed the test and are now card-carrying Trainor Modular Walls installers! Our next class is scheduled for the week of August 8th. We have created a new e-mail address to provide support and answers to technical questions for our certified installers: fieldservices@trainormodularwalls.com.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Best regards,

Regards,

Business Development

We are always excited when we get to do showrooms- you know the old adage "you can't sell from an empty cart!" In support of a major push into the Healthcare arena by Herman Miller and dealer distribution, we are very excited to show many applications for Modular Walls in Healthcare. Those of you who do not sell Healthcare, keep reading! There are many applications for administrative areas and similar areas that apply to commercial accounts- just look at some of these pictures!

The new Herman Miller Healthcare Experience in Holland, Michigan has opened and we are very pleased with the outcome. Compass will truly be a "Game Changer" for Herman Miller in the healthcare scene and we offer a great way to continue the story around the flexibility of Compass! Our work with the Herman Miller test labs have shown how M-Wall can support Compass in any configuration. Our modular walls work well in patient care applications, and are a strong fit for caregiver spaces, Admin areas, ambulatory care, Critical care support, Imaging  and Pharmacy areas! The future of change in Health Care is obvious and we are poised to work with you on any and all applications.

We are also very excited to introduce you to Jessica Thompson, the new business development inside sales support person who will have all the answers (eventually!) Feel free to call and say hi to Jessica anytime you need information, literature, samples or just plain help!

We are excited to kick off a new lead time/shipping program for all GSA orders. In order to maximize efficiency, ensure better delivery dates, and limit any "damaged or missing" materials caused by LTL deliveries, we are changing our shipping procedure. All GSA orders will now ship on the third Friday of every month, on dedicated trucks. Multiple projects that are in the designated trucking lanes can be on the same load. This direction helps schedule our plant and fabrication more effectively, and will provide all Herman Miller dealers and customers with the confidence of knowing when their material will be on site.

In order to meet that date, all orders need to be in house, with approvals and final sizes by a specified date. After that date, the project will be pushed to the following month's schedule. See the schedule dates below.

Some large projects will require their own deliveries. Projects that incorporate more then 84 total panels (combination of V-Wall, M-Wall and doors) will be on our standard six (6) week lead time after approvals and sizes, shipped on job specific dedicated trucks.

Ship date: 8/19/11 - order full release date: 7/15/11

Ship date: 9/16/11 - order full release date: 8/19/11

Ship date: 10/21/11 - order full release date: 9/23/11

Ship date: 11/18/11 - order full release date: 10/21/11

Ship date: 12/16/11 - order full release date: 11/18/11
