Holidays on Main Street

First Friday

December 1st

by Boonton Main Street, Inc.


Here’s the map of Main that includes our FREE SHUTTLE! It starts at the Senior Center, stops at Plane Street, Kiwanis and turns around and heads back up, stopping at Church Street.


There are many specials throughout the stores and eateries on Main St, see the BMS Facebook Page linked below for a current list.

Menorah Lighting

December 7th at 5 pm

at Grace Lord Park

Celebrate Chanukah December 7th - 15th. All are welcome at the Menorah Lighting brought to you by the Chabad Center for Jewish Life of Mountain Lakes, Boonton, and Denville.

Santa Run

Sunday, December 17th

by Boonton Volunteer Fire Department


Santa will be climbing on board a fire truck to visit the streets of Boonton on Sunday, December 17, 2023.


The fire trucks will alert the neighborhood via air horns and sirens when Santa is close! We don’t have an exact time on when we will be on your street but we do go down every street in the Town of Boonton to make sure every kid sees Santa

Citizen of the Year Joe Whritenour

Congratulations to Mr. Joe Whritenour, Boonton's 2023 Citizen of the Year. Mr. Whritenour was presented with a proclamation by Mayor Corcoran at the November 20th Town Council Meeting. Thank you, Joe, for your continued dedication to our town!

Holiday Schedule for Town Hall & Garbage Collection


Town Hall and the Recycling Center will be closed December 22-December 25th in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.


There will be no garbage pick up on Monday 12/25, the make-up day is Tuesday, December 26th.

Meetings occur in person at Town Hall located at 100 Washington St., Boonton, NJ at 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted on the Town website.
