Join Us for the Swearing-in Ceremony for Our Newly Elected Commission Members

All are welcome to join us for the Swearing-In Ceremony of our newly elected commission members during the Town Commission Meeting on April 2, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Jarvis Hall (4505 N. Ocean Drive).

75th Anniversary Fun

"I remember when we were kids growing up here, living by Holy Cross Hospital, we would ride our bicycles to Commercial Boulevard to the Intercoastal, put our fishing poles and bikes on inner tubes, swim across the Intercoastal (as there was no bridge), and spend the weekend fishing on Anglin's Pier.

We slept on the pier all weekend and fished. We would go diving and catch beautiful tropical fish for our aquariums or sell them to the pet shops for a few cents. We caught cobia sharks, dolphin, you name it. Then we had all those fish that would come in to beach; we even caught lobsters on the shore when they were crawling.

The ocean, and even the Intercoastal, was clear, clean, and beautiful. Too bad at that age we took all that natural beauty for granted because not a day goes by now that I don't recall how beautiful it was."
