Coffee: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Town Hall: 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Lunch: 12:00 p.m.

Join Association directors for a report on LOBA's activities and accomplishments in 2022, greetings and updates from Mayor Terry Glover and District Chair Jeff Lehman, and a presentation of Watersheds Canada pre-recorded webinar: The Science Behind Vegetated Shoreland Buffers: Why the Ribbon of Life Matters.

Most Township of Lake of Bays councillors as well as Huntsville Mayor Nancy Alcock will be there. It's a great opportunity to chat with them.

After the meeting, lunch will be served in the church hall.

Share this invitation with anyone who might be interested in attending - the meeting is open to all. If you plan to attend, please email Lili Davis-Burchat at info@loba.ca by January 25 (so we can plan for lunch).

Hope to see you there!
Important Things are Happening in Muskoka

There are two important community initiatives going on right now.
See below for more details:

  1. Muskoka Second Home Study - Given the significance of the second home population and their contribution to Muskoka’s culture, economy and social structure, the District of Muskoka periodically conducts an anonymous survey to capture important information about this population sector. This survey informs Muskoka District Council on how second home households are used, how they may be used in the future, your individual needs and how you participate in the local economy.
  2. Building Muskoka's Next Hospitals - Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare continues its capital planning journey to build two new hospitals in Huntsville and Bracebridge. Community engagement is an essential part of the planning process. Please join them in person at one of their open houses, or virtually from your home.
