Message from Mrs. Nannen

As the end of the school year wraps up, thank you for choosing Touching Hearts! We feel truly blessed to work with your children and walk alongside your family. The children have all grown and learned so much this year!

We invite you to join us next Thursday night on May 16th for the annual PTL Fun Night! There will be bounce houses, games, a cake walk, food and time to connect with other families. There's more information in the newsletter!

We would love to see you there!

Playground Construction!

Playground construction has started!

The kids are going to love watching the workers ‘fix’ the playground.

Lunch and Lyrics Video

It's here! Grab a snack and treat yourselves to a viewing of the Lunch and Lyrics video! The classrooms each worked hard to learn their songs to share with you.

(Shout out to our Technology Director, Jake, for putting our video together.) ENJOY!

Summer Fun Punch Cards

Summer punch cards are available at the Faith Elementary School office.

Punch Cards are $5.00 each and 100% of the proceeds stay with Faith!

Tickets include “punches”, which are redeemable for various summer activities in Lincoln. There's also additional food and activity coupons, valued at well over $100.

Nebraska Growing Readers

We are excited to be a part of the Nebraska Growing Readers initiative!

Each month, Touching Hearts will receive new books! These are free for you to take, and do not need to be returned.

Look for them near the Touching Hearts Family Library!

Read-A-Thon is Complete!

This year’s Read-A-Thon raised over $8,300 for playground improvements! WOW!!

Students logged over 67,000 minutes of reading, with Reggie M. in 4th Grade being our top reader!!

Congratulations to all of our students for their efforts during this event!

The prizes have been shipped and will be handed out to students upon arrival at Faith! Many thanks to all those who supported this project!

We are excited for the changes already happening on the Touching Hearts playground! Both the turf and rubber squares are to be replaced, with the project being fully funded by our fundraising efforts over the past few years!

Lost and Found - Last Call!

Please check out the lost & found by the school office and the Touching Hearts office.

Lost and found items will be donated on Monday, May 13th.

Lincoln Littles

Touching Hearts is blessed to partner with Lincoln Littles in an effort to provide quality childcare.

Scholarships are awarded to families whose children are enrolled full time in our program.

Families qualify for scholarships based on household income.

Applications are now available for the term of May 2024 to December 2024. Another application period will open in November for the term of January 2025 to December 2025.

If you are interested in more information or would like an application, please contact Shandra Nannen in the office or email touchinghearts@faithlincoln.org.

PTL Fun Night!

PTL Fun Night will take place next Thursday, May 16th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm in the south parking lot.

PTL is still in need of help to run the pop toss game! Please sign up to volunteer by clicking here.

Class Donations for Fun Night:

Yellow, Red & Blue Room: Juice boxes
Pink & Purple Room: Two 2 liter bottles of soda
Kindergarten: Individually wrapped desserts
1st & 2nd Grade: Two 2 liter bottles of soda
3rd & 4th Grade: Individually wrapped desserts
5th Grade: Case of bottled water

A lot of help is needed to make this night possible!
