OED continues to create new excitement around our legacy industries. We are proud to have unveiled our new website for manufacturing in Frederick County, www.MadeInFrederickMD.com. Manufacturing is extremely important to Frederick County. It is vital to our economy as manufacturing weaves its way through our technology, life science, and craft beverages industries. We developed MadeInFrederickMD to strengthen and foster the growth of Frederick County’s manufacturing industry to provide resources, connections and tools to succeed in a global environment. Please check out the Flying Dog video debut, our business directory, job board and more.
 
In partnership with Frederick Magazine, we revealed Frederick County’s Top 50 Under 40. These young professionals demonstrate leadership in their industry and give back to the community. The future of Frederick County is in good hands.  We will continue to spotlight the Top 50 Under 40 throughout the year. If you see a Top Young Professional be sure to congratulate them and thank them for all that they do for our community.
 
As part of the Top 50 we published our 2021 Annual Report. We encourage you to read the Annual Report to learn about many positive trends. Despite continuing challenges facing sectors of the business community, 2021 brought many examples of solid growth within our County. The report includes encouraging updates on the top economic development projects, industry growth spotlights, what is in store for economic development in 2022 and more.
