"CityRep's production is better than Broadway."

-Mark Lowry, Theatrejones - Regional Theatre Critic

"...with complete conviction, I believe CityRep to be one of the most outstanding theatre companies in the country."

H.E. "Gene" Rainbolt, CityRep Supporter

Hello friends,

CityRep has just kicked off our Annual Fund Campaign with a goal this season of $70,000. Thanks to your generosity we have already raised 19%! As a friend of CityRep, you know and appreciate the "Broadway Quality" of our professional theatre and our commitment and service to our community.

We are able to make this kind of theatre available to Oklahoma City, as well as to students, teachers, military personnel at a greatly reduced price, only because of your generosity and with your continued support.

I am writing now to ask you to please help us again this year with a gift.  Ticket sales make up approximately half of our budget. Without generous support from patrons like you, we would have to double our ticket prices, eliminate all the discounted ticket programs and narrow our programming as well as our educational outreach.

This year has been extraordinary for CityRep. Now in our 13th season, we are grateful to see that audience attendance has increased every year. We believe very strongly in good stewardship of the resources that you entrust to us  and we are proud to report that we finished each of the twelve previous seasons in the "black" with no deficit thanks to your help and support.

This season started with our landmark production of THE GRAPES OF WRATH which played to sold out houses.  It attracted national critical acclaim including recognition from the National Steinbeck Center, Actors' Equity Association and Theatre Communications Group. As we so often do, we partnered with Oklahoma City University and The Oklahoma Historical Society, as well as OETA/PBS, who created a documentary about this milestone cultural event.

"In a riveting, gut-wrenching performance of John Steinbeck's sweeping populist epic, GRAPES OF WRATH, CityRep's cast captures the indomitable American spirit of the migrant Joad family as well as their relentless suffering with joyful mastery and gravitas."

-Alexandra Bonifield, regional critic for criticalrant.com, TheatreJones and The Dallas Morning News

"...epic yet understated and accessible, and at the same time powerful and poetic...hard-hitting and not always easy to watch... it is highly recommended."

-John Brandenburg, for The Oklahoman

"The Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre, in its new collaboration with Oklahoma City University, has hit another home run with the adaptation of John Steinbeck's best known novel."

-Patrick B. McGuigan THE OKLAHOMA CITY SENTINEL

Our most recent production, our hit sold out run of the Oklahoma professional premiere of VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE was cheered by critics and patrons alike as "brilliant" and "better than Broadway".

Here at CityRep, we are excited to be a part of Oklahoma City's amazing growth in the past few years, not only in terms of more and more folks making Oklahoma City their new home but as a part of our rapidly evolving cultural landscape. As the city and our vibrant cultural scene grows, we are dedicated to continuing our mission of service to enhancing our community's artistic, economic and educational future.

"Brilliantly directed... brilliantly performed...highly recommended and shouldn't be missed!"

-John Brandenburg THE OKLAHOMAN

"This CityRep production has much going for it...it's smart, compelling and good fun... an excellent cast...All of the elements of a fine show come together in CityRep's Vanya/Spike. A worthy script and a quality production make for satisfying theater."

-Larry Laneer THE OKLAHOMA GAZETTE

You, our loyal and generous patrons, make it possible for us to provide innovative shows that entertain, enlighten and inspire our audiences. With your help we will continue our leadership role in our arts community, bringing an unyielding commitment to excellence to every performance as well as maintaining our dedicated service to our young people, the artists of tomorrow, thru our educational efforts.

We do this by regularly partnering with institutions such as Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma University, The University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma City Community College. We empower dozens of young artists with the tools of success by providing them with unique opportunities for professional mentoring and experience, as well as free master classes with our associated professional theatrical artists from around the nation.

We are pleased to report that several of the young artists who got their start on the CityRep stage have gone on to  success on Broadway and thru out the American professional regional theatre, including performing in shows like WICKED, LES MISERABLES, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, HAIRSPRAY, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT and hundreds of other productions.

We are asking you for your help in order to continue this important and valuable mission of service.

Thank you for your consideration as we work together to make Oklahoma, "the land we belong to", more grand!

With grateful thanks,

Donald Jordan
