College Decision Day! We celebrated the official college decisions for the Class of 2024! From Athens to Atlanta to Tuscaloosa, Statesboro, and places in between, we are excited to see all the places these soon-to-be graduates will go in the fall. Thank you to our senior parents for a delicious Waffle House breakfast this week! #whsclassof2024 #collegeday

We are Westfield proud of our Students of the Quarter - Amelia Butts (5th grade) and Alexis Cole (8th grade). These students were recognized this morning by the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce. Congratulations, Amelia and Alexis! #buildingleaders

Our kindergarten students have been studying the life cycle and the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to a chrysalis and finally a butterfly. This week, Mrs. Christina Gilbert and Mrs. Cristi Parks’s class released their butterflies! What a wonderful opportunity to see God’s creation! #handsonlearning #educationofmindandheart

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Tiffany Paris and Mrs. Shelli Goodman’s class have been learning about animals. They wrote facts about lions and drew their own lions as part of a directed drawing assignment. By following step-by-step instructions for a directed drawing, students learn fundamental drawing skills while also learning focus, attention to details, and spatial awareness. Directed drawing helps students use their brain and fine motor skills, and it is also fun and engaging! #handsonlearning #directeddrawing #westfieldkindergarten

Students in Mrs. DJ Blalock’s Art II and III classes participated in a contest to design and create a 3-D version of a faux animal bust using only cardboard, paper, paint, and hot glue. Faculty voted for their favorite design. Congratulations to the winners - first place - fish designed by Trae Hardy and Ben Lawson; second place tie - turkey designed by Grant Goodman and Trenton Thomas; and third place - bald eagle designed by Rhodes Ham and Hayden Hardy. Great job! #westfieldart #westfieldupperschool

Our Upper School chorus, directed by Mrs. Lauren Mann, recently performed a patriotic program for the residents at Carlyle Place in Macon. After their performance at Carlyle, they toured the Capricorn Recording Studios where they had the unique opportunity and honor to record one of their songs! #westfieldchorus #westfieldfinearts #learningoutsidetheclassroom

Upper School art students created a Perry mural to enter into the Heart of Georgia Hospice’s “My Hometown” art competition. #westfieldart #westfieldupperschool #servingourcommunity

Members of our Middle School’s Junior Beta Club and their faculty advisor Mrs. April Holmes are taking on some new service projects on campus. This week, they are giving a new coat of stain to the wooden planters. Thank you to our students for helping keep our campus beautiful! #servingourcommunity #servingourschool #Juniorbetaclub #educationofmindandheart
