May 9, 2024

Hello Mary Jane,

May has arrived, and the countdown to summer has begun! Students are working hard to finish the academic year strong, and we are very proud of their achievements. AP exams began this week, and Middle and Upper School students are preparing for end of year assignments and exams. This week, we recognized Middle and Upper School students at our honors programs for outstanding academic achievement and leadership. Next up...graduation for the classes of 2024 and 2036, a super summer send off for our Pre-K Hornets, and the traditional "crossing of the Quad" for our fifth graders as they head to Middle School next year!

Special thanks to all of our Westfield parent volunteers and the Westfield Family Organization for their generosity and support all year, but especially this week for a great Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you! #wearewestfield

Our last AR Prize Patrol for the school year ended with many reward! The points earned ranged from 100 all the way to 700! Amazing job, Hornet Readers!

Second graders in Mrs. Jessica Roberts’s class are learning about the main organ systems in the human body. Working in collaborative groups, they outlined one of their classmates’ body and had a relay race to see which group could identify and label the organs…a fun way to review for their science test over the parts of the body! #westfieldsecondgrade #collaborativelearning #educationofmindandheart

Thank you to senior Emma Kate Bulger for sharing a sweet devotional with our Lower School students. Emma Kate spoke about having the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-25) and walking with Christ. Our fourth and fifth grade chorus, along with our Upper School praise band, also sang for assembly. We are thankful for opportunities like this to see our students sharing their faith with others! #FaithfulFriday #educationofmindandheart

Our hearts are full of joy as our Lower School 4th/5th grade chorus, directed by Mrs. Lea Rogers, sang for our last "Faithful Friday" assembly of the school year! Be sure to watch and listen to the video below - especially to their first song, Ubi caritas, performed in Latin...and their second piece which will fill your heart. #westfieldchorus #educationofmindandheart #FaithfulFriday

Congratulations to senior Charlie Briscoe for being selected by the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce as a Student of the Month!
