GATHERING IN THE SPIRIT’S PRESENCE

Centering Affirmation: What is God's Kingdom Like?

Welcome and Announcements

Led by Pastor Ken

Opening Words

Led by Janice Morrison

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called

to create a world where every person is radically

affirmed and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Call to Worship

Led by Janice Morrison

(Please stand in body, mind or spirit.)

One: We gather in the presence of the One who

abandons no one.

All: Come Holy Spirit, our advocate and

comforter.

One: All are welcome in this sacred place, made

holy through your presence with us.

All: Open our hearts and minds this day,

guide us into a loving relationship with

all your children.

One: We gather as God’s beloved people, leaving

no one outside.

All: Spark us with a word of life and radical

belonging – a message that we share

with others as we seek to live out

Christ’s love.

One: We call on the name of God, who creates,

redeems, and sustains us. Let us continue to

do the work that allows us to draw the circle

of inclusion, justice, and spirituality both far

and wide.

Singing Our Faith

~ Draw the Circle Wide

Draw the circle wide. Draw it wider still.

Let this be our song, no one stands alone,

standing side by side –

Draw the circle wide.

God the stillpoint of the circle,

round whom all creation turns.

Nothing lost but held forever,

in God’s gracious arms.

Chorus

Let our hearts touch far horizons,

so encompass great and small.

Let our loving know no borders,

faithful to God’s call!

Chorus

Let the dreams we dream be larger

than we ever dreamed before.

Let the dream of Christ be in us,

open every door.

Chorus

STILLING OURSELVES

Centering Prayer

Sharing the Peace

Led by Susan Glynn

When we take charge of our own stories and muster

enough courage to play in the same sandbox, we

belong to a world that loves, includes, and radically

affirms every human life. Greet each other as a sign

of peace and in our continued commitment to be a

welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and engaging

place for ALL people.

Celebrations

Led by Lois Beberniss

This is our time to share the celebrations of our lives:

birthdays, anniversaries, words of kindness and works of

peace and justice.

Our WISE Moment

Celebration Song

Led by Kate Vincent

How could anyone ever tell you?

You were anything less than beautiful.

How could anyone ever tell you?

You were less than whole.

How could anyone ever tell you?

That your loving is a miracle.

How deeply your connected to my soul.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the

celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be

received.

EMPOWERING AND SENDING

Sending Forth Song ~ We Are the Family

Led by Kate Vincent

We are the family and we are the home,

We are the mountain where love can be

known.

We are the family and we are the hands,

For bringing peace to our land.

(Repeat)

1. And in our family all are welcome,

Doesn’t matter who you are,

In our home there’s always room

So plan to stay.

On our mountain where we labor

There’s much work that’s left to do,

And your talents would be helpful if you stay.

Chorus

2. And in our family ev’ry nation,

Ev’ry planet, ev’ry race,

Ev’ryone is always welcome to our home.

And with our voices let us tell you

That we mean just what we say,

And with our hands united, let us pray.

Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.

This is a time to talk about the message and explore together using the ORID Art Form Conversation methodology. What is ORID? It stands for Observation, Reflection, Interpretation, and Decision. You will get the hang of it.
