Commemorating Centennial Day!

June 24, 1924 - June 24, 2024

On this day in 1924, six Brothers from Montabaur, Germany arrived in Buffalo to begin their mission of providing compassionate care to sick and elderly residents. The work on our Wellness Campus in Clarence continues now into its second century as staff and volunteers are proud to provide high-quality care to our fellow Western New Yorkers through skilled nursing & rehabilitation, assisted living & memory care, companion care, outpatient rehabilitation & independent living. During the Campus Open House on June 20, staff installed a Centennial Time Capsule at the former Sacred Heart Home to be opened in 25 years on June 24, 2049. It included a variety of items from this year, including eclipse glasses,staff photo, Campus newsletter, Clarence Chamber of Commerce magazine, Clarence Historical Society newsletter, Centennial T-shirt, fit-bit and staff walkie-talkie.

On June 21, The Brothers of Mercy held a Centennial Mass at the Center Chapel in the former Sacred Heart Home. The service is available to watch below.
