Guest Speaker Sunday

Rev. Sonja Mathis

Rev. Sonja, graduated from the University of Georgia, in Athens, with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. Sonja was raised Baptist before being introduced to New Thought teachings under Rev. Dr. Barbra King of Hillside Truth Center in Atlanta, GA, and Dr. Kennedy Shultz of the Atlanta Church of Religious Science (now CSL). Sonja received a Master’s of Divinity degree from Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute, June 2022 and then followed it with a Master's of Consciousness Studies degree from Holmes Institute the following year in June 2023. She served as President of the Unity Ministerial Student Association and continues as their student minister liaison. She is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) and recently became a regional supervisor for a military contractor to oversee and coordinate 30 financial counselors in support of our troops in 11 states for Active Duty, Reserves and National Guard. She serves as minister of the Unity Center of Tuscaloosa, AL, study group and is a remote staff minister with Unity Village Chapel, in Missouri, where she did her 2nd ministerial internship. She has visited 22 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe.

Trunk or Treat at Unity of Omaha

This is a youth and family event. We need volunteers who would be interested in providing their trunk and passing out treats. *Prizes will be awarded for best trunk*
