SafTCart Employees Enjoy

 the Little Things

When the employees are not busy at work making carts, cradles, pallets and truck beds they enjoy their time off. The usual schedule includes two break periods throughout the day, one at 11am and another at 2pm, neatly splitting the work day into thirds. On occasion, however, they are treated to something more. The last work day before both summer and winter breaks they are provided a catered meal from a local restaurant. This time Morgan Steel hosted a crayfish boil, complete with corn and potatoes.

It is the small things and tokens of appreciation that keep morale high and everyone satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful crayfish Morgan Steel.

Employee Spotlight:

Kathy Lake

Kathy Lake is a fairly recent new hire, only starting in February. Born, raised, and married in Clarksdale, MS, Kathy, at 56, takes over for front desk duties. Come this August she will have been married for 24 years. They have five children total and 13 grandchildren, four of whom she raises.Having worked since she was 16, Kathy retired when covid hit to focus on her grandchildren but has since returned to work. She also is the aunt of SafTCart's accounts payable, Tishana Willcutt.

Presently Kathy operates the front desk which involves checking in guests and filing paperwork for new hires. She also is our accounts receivable and provides assistance to accounts payable.

Kathy states that she enjoys her job and the family-oriented business and management because its reminds her of growing up in her family owned business. She details how she loves collecting crosses and angels and wants to start making her own crosses for sale. Her other favorite pastime is zumba but she states that she does enjoy her quiet time.

We are happy to have Kathy join the family and look forward to all the memories yet to be made together.
