Tribal CEDS Survey - We Need Your Voice Southeast Alaska!
Tlingit & Haida is updating the Southeast Alaska Tribal Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (Tribal CEDS) to identify the economic conditions and needs of the region for the next five years.
 
We need YOUR input to help develop strategies and priorities to support tribal economic health and rural economies in Southeast Alaska.
 
If you are a Southeast Alaska resident, please take the 10-minute survey to share your thoughts with us. Respond by May 31 to get entered into a drawing for prizes.

Advisory Committee Members Needed for Tribal Home Visiting Program
Tlingit & Haida is seeking tribal citizens in Juneau, AK to serve on an advisory committee to help guide the development of a new Tribal Home Visiting program for tribal citizen families.

The committee will consist of up to 10 tribal citizens and is expected to meet virtually twice a month to identify gaps in prenatal and early childhood services.

If you are interested in serving on the advisory committee, please apply by May 20.

Tribal Artisan Vendor Table Opportunity
Did you know close to one million visitors are expected to visit the Mendenhall Glacier?

Under a co-stewardship agreement between Tlingit & Haida and the United States Forest Service, we’re expanding opportunities to share our rich heritage, stories, and traditions with visitors from around the world.

This partnership now includes an opportunity for tribal citizen artists to showcase their arts and crafts.

This opportunity not only supports our tribal citizen artists, but can help educate others about our traditional art forms.

Vendor tables are available May 20 - September 30 with flexible scheduling. If you’re interested in being a featured tribal citizen artist at the Mendenhall Glacier, sign up today!

Seeking Safety Youth Therapeutic Group
Date: Every Tuesday
Time: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Location: 320 W. Willoughby Ave. Juneau, AK

The CBS Healing Center is now offering a therapeutic group to help tribal youth (ages 13-18) heal from trauma and/or substance abuse, as well as build emotional regulations skills.

The group incorporates Seeking Safety curriculum, an evidence-based model, while incorporating cultural practices that create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ BIPOC and youth with disabilities.

Opioid Survey Results Zoom Presentation

Join Tlingit & Haida for a community presentation to review and discuss the survey results of a Community Readiness & Needs Assessment conducted.

The survey was conducted in 2023 to help Tlingit & Haida better understand the needs of communities in addressing substance use and opioid addiction.

Based on the information gathered, nearly 85% of survey respondents indicated substance misuse is the biggest concern for their communities.

If you are interested in learning more about the survey results and how this information will guide Tlingit & Haida's work, join us for the online presentation on June 12.

At Camp Coho, our primary focus is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children can embark on a journey of healing.

If your child has experienced the loss of a family member from cancer or suicide, apply now. Space is limited to 10 children (ages 6 to 12) with one chaperone per child.

Travel scholarships are available on a limited basis and upon request.
