Hello, Everyone!

I hope joy, happiness, fun, and the spirit of the season filled your holidays. We ended the year on 123123 (12/31/23), and it's the beginning of the New Year, 2024.

My 2023 brought us the blessing of a second grandson, Max. We also celebrated the release of my 4th book in August, 2023, "A Tryst in Paris." It actually won an award from N. N. Light Book Heaven as best in time travel romance and garnered 5 star reviews, which gives me inspiration to keep writing!

But 2023 also brought sadness to my family as we had to say farewell to two of our beloved dogs: Khloe, our black lab (12) belonging to my daughter Kristen, and Jackpot, our fifteen pound rescued "mutt" (18). If only their bodies had remained as strong as their devotion to us. It's so hard to lose our pets.

Now, it's time for 2024 resolutions and vision boards - a time for resetting and repurposing. How wonderful we have a new start every year to be a better us. A kinder us. A more spiritual us. We have an extra day this year to work toward our goals and enjoy our lives since 2024 is a Leap Year!

Thanks for your support and interest in my writing journey. I'm pivoting away from writing historical to writing sweet contemporary. My aim is to release my second Christmas romance by Fall 2024, and I'm developing a small town romance trilogy. Wish me God speed because I'm the slowest writer!

GIVEAWAY!

One of my 2024 goals is to find my readers and connect with them on a personal level. One way I can do this is by creating a private Facebook Group. I'm thinking of naming it Anne@FirstSight. I'll post drafts of scenes for feedback, ask for help in naming characters, post cover reveals before they go public, and have monthly zooms about writing. I will encourage my group to pre-order new releases, post reviews on release dates, and share social media posts.

If you'd like to be a part of this private group, scroll down and answer YES! Anyone who answers, whether yes or no, will be entered into a drawing for a $5.00 Amazon gift card.

Happy New Year!

PS.-If you enjoy my newsletter, please consider sharing it with friends and families. Drop me a line to tell me what content you most like!

PS. - I'd love to see your holiday photos! Please include them in comments on my Author Facebook Page post asking for them!

If you've enjoyed one of my books,

please consider leaving a review

on a site of your choice.

I recently participated in a daily writing sprint during November hosted by the awesome Bryn Donovan (learn more about Bryn HERE), and I met two incredible fellow "sprinters", Nan Reinhardt and Audrey Schuyler Lancho.

I have fallen in love with Nan's books, my favorite one so far being The Fireman's Christmas Wish (The Lange Brothers Book 3).

I cannot wait until Audrey's debut, Seven Days at Mannerley, releases on March 26, 2024. Keep your eyes on Audrey's social media for preorder links available soon.

I'll share more about Bryn's upcoming release, Her Knight at the Museum, in future newsletters, but while you're setting 2024 goals, you should check out Bryn's The Book of Dreams Come True: A Journal of Self-Discovery, Goals, and Manifestation.

Nan Reinhardt

Nan Reinhardt is a USA Today bestselling writer of romantic fiction for women in their prime. She is also a wife, a mom, a mother-in-law, and a grandmother. She's been an antiques dealer, a bank teller, a stay-at-home mom, a secretary, and for the last 17 years, she's earned her living as a freelance copyeditor and proofreader.

But writing is Nan's first and most enduring passion. She can't remember a time in her life when she wasn't writing--she wrote her first romance novel at the age of ten, a love story between the most sophisticated person she knew at the time, her older sister (who was in high school and had a driver's license!) and a member of Herman's Hermits. If you remember who they are, you are Nan's audience! She's still writing romance, but now from the viewpoint of a wiser, slightly rumpled, woman in her prime who believes that love never ages, women only grow more interesting, and everybody needs a little sexy romance.

Make You Mine

The Walker Family Book 1

When his family’s company is on the line, business and pleasure definitely don’t mix, but maybe they should…

Madeline Ross left the city and a career glass ceiling behind, hoping to build a new life as the crew supervisor for Walker Construction in River’s Edge. She’s qualified and experienced, but new CEO Jackson Walker hires someone else. Even as she searches for a different job and builds a life in River’s Edge, the sexy memory of Jack teases.

After a rough year, Jackson Walker’s family business is still struggling. He needs a new construction crew supervisor, and Maddie Ross is perfect, except for the first time in his life, player Jack is suddenly smitten with the curvaceous redhead. He wants her in his bed more than on his payroll.

When his second-rate new hire is a disastrous mistake, Jack humbles himself on Maddie’s doorstep with an offer she can’t refuse. Maddie could be the key to saving his company as long as he hides his heart. But does he have to?

Audrey Schuyler Lancho

From Audrey's website:
