Dear Ricardo and Beth,

If you know me, you probably know that I love this time of year! It is tip-off time for the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Anything could happen but I sure hope my team wins! (I'll let you guess which team is MY team.)

But it is also yet another ministry tip-off time. Early tomorrow morning Ricardo, Jonathan and I will travel to Puerto Rico where Ricardo will preside over the annual meeting there. Superintendent Mercedes Reynoso has been selected for re-election as Superintendent. Please pray for her as she continues to grow the church and the conference in her fourth round leadership. In these next four years she will intentionally invest in the next generation of leaders for both. Pray for wisdom and fruitfulness as she leads that charge.

Next week, March 28 - 31, aproximately140 youth and young adults from 13 Latin American countries will be meeting just outside Medellín, Colombia for the tip-off of the first ever IML Youth Conference (remember, IML is the Spanish acronym for Free Methodist Church). Ricardo, Bishop Kaye Kolde, Assistant Area Director Thad Roller and others will be among the excellent team of speakers and leaders at the event. We are really looking forward to this exciting new ministry opportunity and invite your prayers for each of the young people who will be attending!

We would also appreciate your prayers as Ricardo hits the court as part of the selection committee for the next Asbury Theological Seminary President. Pray that this diverse and capable team will discern God's will for the future of the seminary.

It is decision time for Jonathan. Pray that God will lead him as he decides between his two favorites...Asbury University and the University of Kentucky. Plus, a broken wrist is keeping him off the court right now (thanks to a soccer injury). He is scheduled for surgery on April 10. Again, we covet your prayers for a successful surgery and complete healing.

Finally, pray for Juliana as she will be home alone for the next two weeks. She is nearing the end of regulation for her first year of college in the USA. She has done well. We are deeply grateful for the way that Wilmore Free Methodist Church has welcomed and cared for her! Pray that God will continue to guide her and that she will find a good friend in Kentucky.

We are so thankful that you are part of our team. Your prayers and support are a huge encouragement to us!

May God richly bless you,

Beth and Ricardo Gómez
