SPRING SEMESTER...IT'S A WRAP!
#CampSmart Spring Break!
Over 50 girls, at two locations, enjoyed their spring break with other #StrongSmartBold like themselves! BakerRipley, Gulfton Learning Center and Chevron Center provided safe spaces for the girls to be girls! Here's what parents had to say:

Miracle has really enjoyed this week and wakes up so early every morning to get ready for the day. In just a few days I see her confidence and excitement for this program shining brightly. I would love the opportunity to learn more about other opportunities for her and volunteer opportunities for me in the summer and other times during the year. Thanks again for what you do."

Every day my child had come home to me with excitement and exciting stories about what they did when they were at camp and how much fun it was. I love seeing a smile on my child’s face and to hear that she likes it. The staff even kept the communication between the parents it was great.

My niece Ke’Mariaye loved the camp and had so much fun. Each day she was eager to go back and couldn’t wait to tell her parents about it. Thank you for this impactful experience for children.

26th Annual Strong, Smart, and Bold Luncheon
Our hearts are still overwhelmed by the outpouring of support shown toward us at the 2023 Strong, Smart, and Bold Luncheon! Your generosity was greatly appreciated. We hope everyone left inspired to empower girls to value themselves, take risks, and discover/develop their inherent strengths.

Please enjoy photos from the event!

100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston
GIGH partnered with 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston for their Inaugral Beautillion! Six of our girls were chosen to escort the gents as duchesses. Each duchess received a small scholarship at the end of the night. It was a magical evening!
