The Tiger's Roar!

Tildenville Elementary School Community Brief Friday, February 9, 2024

Dear Mark,

As this is our first issue of the month, I hope February has been going very well for you and for your family. January was quite a busy period despite not having classes during the first week of the month. This includes both student engagement in the classrooms along with several special events which we have highlighted below. As you will see in the calendar and throughout this issue, the exciting pace continues as we are already in the second portion of the 3rd quarter.

Our Tigers really enjoyed the PTA/Bond Foundation sponsored Science Festival on February 1st! (Additional highlights below.)

Have a great weekend, thanks for reading, and be sure to reach out if you ever need support.

Accelerated Reader 100 day goal achieved!

Congratulations Tildenville Tigers on reaching the goal of 100 AR tests taken and passed on the 100th day of school! The goal was 100 quizzes and the prize was Ms. Alvarez getting a pie in the face!

We need your support for our AR book Challenge!

Students in grades K-5 are able to read books and take Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes to earn points. We now have a total of 156 students who are part of the challenge! Students have to earn at least 5 AR points to make it up on the board (pictured below) and then they start to level up from there by reading books and taking quizzes.

For the month of January we had 18 new students and 56 students leveled up!

Students are motivated to read as they earn small prizes and by leveling up a party each month in the media center. This month is a popcorn party!

As more and more students are leveling up and joining in the fun the prizes are running low. Please take the time to look over our Donors Choose Project and possibly donate, every little bit helps. It can also be shared on social media with family and friends.

Please help us keep the love for reading going!
