News from the Tikvah Office

  • Rhonda Cohen, who is completing her second year as Tikvah’s Outreach Director, has decided to leave our professional team for personal reasons.  During her tenure our individual membership has remained stable at 91 people, our Provider Partnerships have increased by 40% this year.  Of those more than 20 are young adults in their 20s and 30s.  New community partnerships fostered by Rhonda have included Career Link, JEVS Career Strategies and Tribe 12.  She has also stewarded our relationships with the Kaiserman JCC and MainLine Health, also created the Dessert and Dialogue series.  Rhonda will wrap up her professional work at Tikvah at the end of November.  We look forward to her continued volunteer involvement in committees, also as an occasional program presenter for the popular RoadTrip with Rhonda Virtual Travel Series.

  • Barbara Ponczek joined the Tikvah staff as our Program Manager in September of 2022. She will continue to work approximately 20 hours per week and will be promoted to the position of Program Director.  The primary change in her duties will be to serve as second in charge of operations management when Executive Director Abby Gilbert is on vacation or otherwise not available.

  • A new part time job of Tikvah Program Associate is now open for applications.  Please contact Abby Gilbert with referrals of appropriate candidates with a social work background interested in facilitating programs and representing Tikvah at public events approximately 15-20 hours per week on the Main Line and in Center City.

Happy Birthday!
