Dear Friends,
I hope you’ve been enjoying the summer. Before we know it, Labor Day, Jewish Holidays and back to school will be upon us. We’ll be changing our schedules and engaging in activities different than we’ve been accustomed to during the summer months. That’s ok. We’re resilient. We know how to adapt to change.
I want to thank our Executive Director, Alana Hilsey, for her dedication and outstanding performance in her leadership role as our Executive Director these past two years. Alana will be leaving this position August 20 in order to pursue her career in mental health counseling. We wish her all the best.
Robert Wenger, MD was unanimously voted onto our Board of Directors in June. Congratulations Bob! Dr. Wenger brings a wealth of experience as a psychiatrist in both the public and private sectors. We look forward to working together as we continue to promote Tikvah’s mission and vision.
This past March, we lost a true Tikvah friend, Dr. Larry Real. Larry was a founding member of Tikvah/AJMI, a board member, an ongoing supporter and loved by all. As a tribute to him, we will be naming a signature program in his name. Larry will always remain in our hearts.
As always, we have been busy at Tikvah.
Our Governance Committee has diligently reviewed and amended our bylaws. Kudos to the committee for doing such great work! You can find the updated version of the bylaws on our website.
Sheila Tepel, our Program Director, has been keeping our members busy and engaged with a variety of virtual activities. Thanks, Sheila!

I wish all of you an enjoyable rest of the summer. Sit back, relax, take some deep breaths and enjoy the moment.
All the Best to You-
Neen Davis
President, Tikvah/AJMI
