Become a Sponsor of Biltmore Prep!

Biltmore Prep Logo We are asking families & businesses to donate to our school in the form of a sponsorship.  This will be one of our largest funding sources to support the school, family events, and campus improvements.  Parents have told us that instead of spending so much time trying to sell items like cookie dough, gift wrap, and candy, they would rather just donate the money.  For many parents, it was not so long ago that you were paying monthly for pre-school, or maybe you have chosen Biltmore Prep instead of a private school.  Please consider donating the equivalent of just one month's tuition to support our amazing elementary school!  If you own or work for a business, please consider a business sponsorship of our school, with attractive advertising benefits.  Click HERE for a sponsorship form.  Please turn the completed form in by Sep. 6, 2013 in order to ensure your sponsorship is included in the family directory.  Thank you for your support!  Questions?  Please contact us at biltmoreprep@gmail.com.

Student Contest!
Win $$ and a Pizza Party!
September 6 to September 16

Two students will each win a $50 gift card and one class will win a fabulous, fun pizza party!  Linking your Safeway Club Card to Biltmore Prep earns money for our school through the eScrip program every time you shop!  The two students and the classroom that register the most "new supporters" will win.  It is FREE!  You just need to complete a very brief entry on the REGISTRATION FORM for each new supporter.  Registration forms and details will also be coming home in backpacks this week.  For more information in the contest flyer, please click HERE.  Questions?  Contact Jen.  Thank you!

Safeway Receipt Collection Volunteers Needed!
September 19, 20, and 21

September 19, 20, and 21, we need parents to help collect receipts at two Safeway locations:  32nd Street & Camelback and 48th Street & Indian School.  It's easy and the kids love to participate and help their school.  Just stand at one of the store exits and politely ask customers to donate their receipts - we earn money for each receipt we collect.  Please sign up HERE for an hour or more.

We need additional volunteers during September 13th through October 1st to collect receipts from our collection containers at Safeway stores, and others to enter the receipt codes online.  The majority of this volunteer opportunity can be done from home.  For more information, or if you have questions, please contact Jen.

Art Masterpiece Information Meeting

Paint

Art Masterpiece is a national art program created to enrich an elementary student's education by teaching them about famous artists, their lives, and artistic styles and art principles in general.    Because the program is organized and facilitated completely by parent volunteers,  WE NEED YOU!   You do not need any art experience or an art background to be a great "art guide."

We will have an informal meeting on Friday, September 6 at 8 am in the multipurpose room. Please consider being a part of our Art Masterpiece team and join us on September 6.  Thank you!  Questions?  Contact Carol.

Coupon Book Fundraiser -

Our school will receive $10 for every book we sell and last year we raised over $4,000!  Books can be used now through the end of 2014. So....Let's "SaveAround" our city with the 2014 Coupon Book.

Odyssey of the Mind
New After School Program!

This is a brand new after school program at our school, and we are so excited about it!  Odyssey of the Mind offers a fun and supportive environment for Kinder through Eighth Grade students to think outside of the box while learning to work together in teams using their creativity to develop solutions to many different kinds of challenges.  Students use Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math skills to solve problems, and compete in a tournament on March 8.   For a flyer with more information, please click HERE.  Visit Odyssey of the Mind to find out more.

Biltmore Preparatory Academy Family Directory

The Biltmore Preparatory Academy PTO is developing a family directory for the school.  Please help sponsor the directory by including a note of support for your student!  This is your chance to share good wishes for your student, their classroom, or the student body, for the 2013-2014 school year. Personal notes will be included in the Family Directory and are only $10 each.  Please submit the COMPLETED FORM and payment by Friday, September 13.  Questions?  Contact Sara Korolevich at 623-326-0881 or sara@freformed.com.

Biltmore Prep PTO Online Auction
Coming in October!

We have been working hard all summer to put together our first ever ONLINE AUCTION FUNDRAISER!  We have some fabulous items that will be up for bid, such as Disneyland park hopper passes, vacation / golf packages at Forest Highlands, gift certificates for many of our favorite restaurants, AND many fun, unique outings for our children with their favorite teachers.  But we still need much more!  If anyone has a connection with a restaurant, hotel, or children's activity, please ask for a donation! You can ask using the attached letter, or give us the name of your contact and we will follow up for you.  We need all donations by September 23, in order to prepare the catalog for our October auction. One-hundred percent of the auction proceeds will go towards purchasing resources for our teachers and students.  Questions?  Contact Kerry or Renee.

Help Biltmore Prep Win $5,000 in Just Minutes!

It is the "Best Year Ever" Sweepstakes sponsored by GreatSchools.org.  Here is how it works:

1.  Rate & Review Bilmore Prep at www.greatschools.org.  Your review is anonymous and just takes a minute to write.

2.  Ask two other people from our school to submit reviews.  When our school has 3 new reviews this month, it is entered in the drawing for $5,000.

3.  Increase our school's chance to win.  Every review over three gives our school another entry into the drawing - up to ten entries each month.

Best of all, there are three chances for our school to win!  Monthly drawings will be held in August, September, and October.

Parents AND Teachers can submit reviews.  Please let others know about our wonderful school, and help us win $5,000,  by posting a review today!

Lego Club Biltmore Prep Lego Club

LEGO Club has started!  The students build a variety of Lego projects, typically one project per week.  Either a prescribed build with instructions or a free build.  The prescribed builds teach engineering essentials and the free build allows individual innovation and imagination. We still have a few available slots for the Friday Club, 3:15 to 4:15 pm.  Our club is run entirely by parents and we are still looking for volunteers.  See the ATTACHED INFORMATION AND APPLICATION SHEET.
