Catalina Island Marine Institute Fundraiser
| Did you know that our 7th and 8th grade students have the opportunity to go to the Catalina Island Marine Institute each year? This trip helps to further our students' understanding of marine wildlife and oceanography by experiencing it firsthand. Students will be dissecting, snorkeling, and learning about ocean geology. Our 7th and 8th grade students are looking for help with fundraising. The deposit on this trip is due October 29, 2012. Please consider making a tax credit donation toward this program now. To make an online donation, click HERE. At "Program Preference" write: Catalina Island Marine Institute. Please tell your friends, family and employers too. Each student needs to raise $300, which still does not include transportation costs (bus to California, ferry to the island). Questions? Amy@chilipepperproductions.com.

Biltmore Preparatory Academy School Song
| |
I sing of a school
Where love is a rule
And knowledge is not hard to find
For in my work and play
I'm learning everyday
In body and heart and in mind
(chorus)
For Biltmore
Is a place I am free
To bring out the best inside of me
Yes, Biltmore really holds the key
Biltmore Prep Academy
We fly so high
Our spirits touch the sky
Our future holds something bright and new
Creating a world
For every boy and girl
Together our dreams can come true
(chorus)
And so through the years
Through laughter and tears
We'll look back on Biltmore with pride
For we learned to see
All that we can be
With the strengths that we have deep inside.
For Biltmore
Is a place I am free
To bring out the best inside of me
Yes, Biltmore really holds the key

Thank you to former Biltmore Prep teacher Lara Eklund for presenting (and singing) our new school song at the Student Recognition Assembly!

Teacher Appreciation
| |
Saying "thank you" to our wonderful teachers for all that they do is so important. In order to help give parents ideas of new ways to show their appreciation, we have asked all teachers & staff at Biltmore Prep to provide us with a list of their favorite things. Please consider having your children bring in a special item to say "thank you" on a holiday, your teacher's birthday, or just because! Have fun with the lists and let the kids be creative!

Fundraising - Highlights
|
There are many ongoing opportunities to raise funds for our school that don't cost any extra money! You just do your regular shopping but use gift cards or shopping reward cards that are linked to our school. If everyone participates, the profits will really add up! Every penny raised is used to help enrich the educational experience of our children. We are highlighting a few options each month so stay tuned!
Safeway eScrip is Safeway's school rewards program. Link your Safeway Club Card to our school, and we will automatically receive 1% of everything you purchase! Anyone can do it - even friends and family who live out of state (the program is linked to Vons, Carrs, and many other grocery stores as well). Go one step further and register your debit and credit cards when you eat at the many different participating local restaurants in the eScrip dining rewards program. Just go to www.escrip.com, click on "about the program," then "sign-up," then follow the prompts to enter your Safeway Club Card number. Note - if you don't know your Safeway Club Card number, you can call Safeway Customer Service at 1-877-723-3929 to get it. Click HERE for more information.
www.ShopwithScrip.com.
This is a program that enables you to shop for your usual things with gift cards linked to our school, (e.g. gas, clothes, iTunes, school uniforms at Lands' End, restaurants, gifts) and the school earns a rebate from each of your purchases. You can purchase Scrip gift cards for over 500 different retailers. Many of the scrip cards [such as the scrip for Lands' End, Staples, Old Navy, and more) are completely electronic! You can place your order 24 hours a day, and in just minutes you will receive an e-mail with the code and can begin your shopping, whether online or in person. It is so easy! Click HERE for registration instructions.
School Uniforms at Land's End.
When you buy school uniforms at Lands'
End and use our school code, 3% of your purchase goes back to our school. Our school code is "900138173." If you make your purchase with a "Scrip Now!" Land's End gift card purchased at the www.shopwithscrip.com website (described above), an additional 16% of your purchase price will be rebated to our school!
Questions about any of the above fundraisers? Contact us a biltmoreprep@gmail.com.
