TIFT COUNTY'S BIG
RELAY FOR LIFE
Annual Celebration of Life Opens Tonight, April 26

Tift County consistently has one of the largest -- if not the largest -- Relay for Life event for any community of its size.

Once again, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, April 26, the journey to end cancer starts with a single step. The American Cancer Society and the Tift County Relay for Life committee invite you to take that step by joining the global Relay For Life movement at Friendly City Park at the E.B. Hamilton Complex in Tifton.

When you walk to end cancer at the Relay, it's your opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well and to raise money for research toward ending cancer.

This year's theme is "Dream Big, Hope Big, Relay Big." The Relay is scheduled 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday and includes numerous activities, prizes, competitions, food, music and the always moving luminary ceremony.

More than 40 teams are participating and many decorate their campsites creatively.
