From the Rector
I look forward to worship this Sunday with all of you. Having recovered (mostly) from my bout of Covid, I will return on Sunday, with hearty thanks to Father Cliff, who ably and beautifully preached and celebrated during my absence.
We will be winding up the summer season by sending a Shower of Birthday cards to Jack Vickrey! There's one more Sunday to bring a card for him, and leave it with us to take to Jack as he celebrates his 100th birthday on August 24th!
As we move into September, we will celebrate the Season of Creation 2024, which our Bishop, along with the bishops of 49 other dioceses, have authorized (or granted permission) for us to celebrate each year. Our worship will revolve around the themes of creation care and companionship with God's creation as we seek to heal the damages we have caused to God's beloved gift.
We will look forward to hearing from Senior Warden Ken Grieshaber not this Sunday, but on August 25, as to what is happening with our church's upcoming restoration/renovation. We appreciate your patience and faithfuness as we continue to await resolution on the insurance claim.
Please plan to join us for after-worship brunch at Rudy's on Sunday, August 25!
Blessings,
Pam+

The Season of Creation 2024
September 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29
|
Our Diocese of Bethlehem is one of the 49 dioceses in the United States proper that has authorized the use of Season of Creation: A Celebration Guide for Episcopal Churches. The theme is "To Hope and Act with Creation" and is based on St. Paul words found in Romans 8:19-25, which highlight the companionship between humanity and creation as we await God's fulfillment of the cosmos.

Trinity is continuing our support of the students at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. This year we will collect school supplies for the beginning of their school year. The basic needs are:
- # 2 yellow pencils
- glue sticks
- washable markers
- folders (3-ring preferred)
- children's scissors
- tissues (boxes or pocket packets)
The Outreach committee will bring a donation box to 8:30 a.m. services each Sunday through September 8th. You may contact Lynn Piccolo (610-462-2133) or Marcie Lightwood (484-767-2908) if you need to have us collect the gifts from you.
