Architecture Week 2024

Happy Architecture Week! Architecture Week 2024 is a nationwide celebration recognizing the power of good design, with a goal of inspiring hopeful architecture and design professionals and K-12 students.

Locally, we can support the Architecture Foundation of Oregon (see this week's Spotlight) and other architecture organizations by helping supply their Amazon wish lists, or participating in the AFO Architects in Schools program.

YAF and LFRT 2024 Future Forward Grant

Application deadline April 19

Maximum of $10,000 in grant money available to one or more proposals

A project presented by the Large Firm Roundtable (LFRT) and the AIA Young Architects Forum (YAF), this grant supports students, emerging professionals, and early career architects in the testing of new ideas that disrupt the traditional conception of practice, process, and product in the field of architecture.

The primary objective of the Future Forward Grant is to perpetuate innovation in the practice of architecture by empowering students, emerging professionals, and early career architects to do things they would not otherwise have the capital or resources to accomplish. Learn More and Apply

AIA Small Project Design (SPD) 2024 Grant Program -Call for Submissions - ends April 19

The SPD advisory committee is pleased to announce the 2024 Small Project Design Knowledge Community Grant. The purpose of this grant is to provide financial support for nonprofit organizations working with architects on community-based projects. Along with supporting the work of nonprofit organizations, we want to demonstrate the value of hiring an architecture firm (and AIA member) for community projects, by helping cover some of the costs associated with hiring the design team. Energy Trust of Oregon - Net Zero Fellowship Grants Applications open through May 3

The Net Zero Fellowship aims to address technological, financial, social, and other market barriers to net-zero energy buildings and to grow the community of practitioners advancing commercial net-zero energy development in Oregon and Washington.

Individuals or firms in the fields of community development, urban planning, architecture, engineering, construction, facility management, public policy, or academia are encouraged to apply. Learn More and Register

CSI Foundation Scholarships Application Deadline May 24, 2024

The CSI Foundation's mission is to propel the AECO industry forward by awarding research grants and educational scholarships to dedicated individuals and groups that will surely influence advancements across the built industry.

The Foundation is awarding two (2) types of scholarships to help professionals across the built environment transform their careers.
