Thank you for supporting and believing in us:

Dear Thrive Friends,

After 18 long months of planning, advocacy, lobbying

and hard work, we are thrilled to announce that today,

July 9th, marks the day that Thrive officially received STATE APPROVAL to open our charter school!

The California Department of Education and the State Board of Education are very rigorous evaluators when approving charters. Their vote of confidence and approval is an immense honor. We are proud to be a state approved charter--and excited to build the dream together with our 100+ Thrive families!

We are so grateful to the over 400 families, 150 teacher and numerous community leaders and organizations that stood by us. Please take a moment to look at our thank you list on the bottom right. These are amazing folks with a heart for children, a vision for change and the courage to stand up for what is right. We also want to thank all the wonderful people at the State Department of Education, at the County Office of Education and the District who have collaborated with us.

Over the next couple of days you will receive an e-mail confirming our new location (we are going to sign our lease tomorrow) and over the next couple of weeks enrollment will be finalized (spaces are almost all filled, click here to fill out an application if you have not done so).

Then the real push begins as we work with our amazing team of founding teachers and parents to open our doors on September 3rd.

The work continues,
