JUNETEENTH RECOGNITION CONCERT
| |
|
Despite a very wet and thunder struck evening, there was a large appreciative audience to hear the incredible voice of Ann Marie McPhail and the very talented Ritz Chamber Players. And to start the evening, Civil Rights Historian, David Nolan, brought the history of Juneteenth, the Cathedral and Civil Rights in St. Augustine to the forefront of this national Juneteenth holiday celebrating freedom from slavery.
Soprano Ann Marie McPhail will be joining pianist, Yukino Miyake on Friday for an evening of A Summer Night Music and the dedication of the Mastriani Grand Piano donated to the St. Augustine Music Festival by his family.

Have you ever asked who is entitled to sit in the reserved section of the Cathedral during our concerts?
These seats are reserved for our donors who have made significant donations.
These donors are also entitled to early entry from 6:30 to 7:00 PM. This entry is from the door on the east side of the Cathedral (right side of the building).
| |
|
This year, there are two categories of reserved seating:
-
Those making donations of $1,000 or more - and concert sponsors - will be seated in the Prime reserved section, in the very first rows.
-
A donation of $350 or more entitles the donor to sit in the regular reserved seating area
-
General seating is available to everyone attending our FREE concerts. We do recommend that you go to the website and reserve tickets for guaranteed seating, especially for popular concerts. Click on the link below to reserve.
We apologize that it is necessary to make separate entries to reserve your seats
for different concerts. EventBrite does not provide an option to fill in your information

• • Short Survey During Concerts • • | | |
|
|
During the concert, we will be asking attendees to fill in an anonymous short survey to identify how our audience learned of our concerts and to identify their resident zip code.
This information is important when applying for grants, which, in addition to our generous donors, enable SAMF to continue to offer chamber music concerts free to the public.

Volunteer opportunities with SAMF....
Non-profit organizations survive because of the volunteers that believe in the organization and are willing to make sure that it continues to survive and thrive. This is also true of the St. Augustine Music Festival.
The SAMF Board consists of volunteers who believe that providing exceptional music to the public for free is important. And we believe that performing the concerts in the sacred and beautiful space that is the Cathedral Basilica has provided an experience unlike any other. As a result, we rely on volunteers to fill many roles during the year in order to provide these concerts to the public.
- Volunteers to serve on and support the SAMF Board,
- Volunteers to help with fundraising and outreach to potential concert sponsors.
- Volunteers to assist during the June concerts and other events that may take place from time to time during the year.
Can we count on you to volunteer?

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!
