NEI Survey Report


The 2024 “State of Micro and Small Businesses in the Detroit Region” report dives into the perspectives, challenges, and goals of small businesses in the region. The report includes 1,235 survey responses within Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, representing primarily microbusinesses and business owners of color.

Applications Open June 13 for 2024/25 National Black Supplier Development Program


The National Business League (NBL) is excited to announce that applications will open for the highly successful National Black Supplier Development Program (NBSDP) for the 2024/25 cohort on June 13, 2024. Presented in partnership with Comerica Bank, Cummins, DTE Energy, Ford, GM, Lear, Magna, Stellantis (presenting partner), and Toyota, the NBSDP was launched in 2021 to address the economic challenges faced by Black-owned businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic and to promote Black Business Enterprise (BBE)™ equity and substantive participation following the tragic murder of George Floyd, which ignited the global Black Lives Matter movement.
