Steven Borne is a Senior Solutions Sales Executive with Sconce, a PTC platinum partner. Borne helps firms leverage PTC’s Computer-Aided Design (Creo CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (Windchill PLM), Industrial IoT (Thingworx platform), and Augmented Reality (Vuforia) software to drive business improvements and Sconce services to assure firms achieve the financial impact they expect from technology investments.

After more than a decade of Competitive and Market Intelligence services sales, Borne is back in his technology environment as industrial Augmented Reality is changing the way workers are trained and supported on the job. The transformation is similar to Borne’s marketing experience in the early 2000s when he was speaking at Telecommunications conferences, publishing articles, and evangelizing to the evolving wireless communications industry about how the world will change with what all know as today's smartphones and applications.

Prior to making the sales/marketing transition Borne held various engineering and Program Management roles in the Schneider Electric Industrial Automation division. His career started in controls engineering, automating processes, and discrete manufacturing lines.

Borne earned his MBA from the D’Amore-Mckim School of Business at Northeastern University, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma. Borne holds a BS in Mechanical Engineer from the University of New Hampshire along with a minor in Ocean Engineering.

In New Hampshire, non-partisan politics Borne is known for his NH Common Denominator Newsletter and as President of the Rye Civic League. In 2019, Borne published his first book, Consuming Government.
