Discover the fascinating world of human anatomy at WVSOM's second annual Clinical Anatomy Summer Experience (C.A.S.E.) camp. Fifteen students will receive hands-on clinical anatomy education in the classroom and in WVSOM’s gross anatomy lab. 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 24-28

How to apply: Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher and an essay outlining their experience in learning anatomy and what they hope to gain from attending the camp. Students may apply by May 15 at www.wvsom.edu/summer-camps

It's March Mania Time

Mr. Crawford's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade music classes will participate in "Sousa's March Mania" hosted by The President's Own Marine Band. 32 of the best and most popular "marches" in band literature have been setup in an elimination bracket similar to what college basketball fans are obsessing about right now. Each music class in the month of March will read some information about and listen to that day's matchups, and vote for which "march" should continue in the competition, and Mr. Crawford then submits the vote results to the website. Marches can advance from the first round to "Sousa's Sixteen", to "The Enlisted Eight", to "The Fidelis Four", all the way to the championship on March 28th. Our March Mania experience will lead us to discussion and practical application of concepts we've studied in music class: rhythm, melody, dynamics, texture, instrumentation, consonance/dissonance, harmony, and form. What a fun way to learn about music!

Track & Field

Track and Field practice will begin for High School on Thursday, March 7th. Practice for Middle School will start on Thursday, March 14. Practices will be from 3:30-5:30 on Mon. Tue. Thur. and Fri. The track schedule will be posted on the school athletic calendar. Participants will meet in the gym area. All athletes should have proper dress for practicing outside, as well as proper footwear. A physical MUST BE COMPLETED before an athlete may begin practice. Please contact Coach Darin Grim for any questions.

In an effort to clear up the germs and viruses, we are asking that if your child experiences any of the following symptoms to please keep them home for the day. Symptoms include a Runny nose with yellow/green discharge, nausea/vomiting, sore throat, chills or fever, diarrhea, or any other conditions that might be contagious. A student should be fever-free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school.

In case of inclement weather, please be advised that we do not always follow the Berkeley County Public Schools' emergency closing schedule. Faith Christian Academy will always have its own announcement regarding school closings and delays. We will place announcements in the following media:
