THE BUZZ ABOUT BEES

Buzz by the Downtown Library to check out the amazing bee artwork from students at Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion School! The artwork was created through the Big Buzz About Bees program provided by our RCPL Bees beekeper, Sager Family Farms. This installation will run through World Bee Day on May 20. With special thanks to Sequoia Healthcare District and the San Mateo County Arts Commission for bringing the Big Buzz About Bees program to Redwood City School District schools and making this installation possible.

We’re also buzzing with excitement for World Bee Day! Celebrate at the Downtown Library with expert beekeeper Ms. Jennifer on Saturday, May 18 at 11am. Take a peek inside of a real working beehive (safely contained behind plexiglass) while learning about hard-working honey bees. You’ll see and touch all the parts of the hive and learn about the importance of pollinators! Learn more
