We hope you enjoyed the holidays and are energized for the new year! The POA team is excited about all the great things to come in 2023 at Carnes. Over the last few weeks, there have been at least a dozen new residents that are relocating and moving into the community. Please join us in welcoming them!
Reminders:
Trash is not permitted to accumulate in non-designated areas on your property. All garbage cans shall be located or screened so as to be concealed from view of neighboring streets and property. All rubbish, trash, and garbage shall be regularly removed and not permitted to accumulate; Trash cans may only be put out on Wednesday evening for trash collection on Thursday. They should be retrieved and stowed once the trash has been picked up. Also, there shall be no dumping of grass clippings, leaves or other debris; rubbish, trash or garbage; petroleum products, fertilizers, or other potentially hazardous or toxic substances in any pond, lake, drainage ditch or stream within the Properties or on any Common Area, except that fertilizers may be applied to landscaping on Units provided care is taken to minimize runoff. Bulk items must be scheduled for pick up. Please notify the Sanitation Division by calling (843)824-2200.
On-Street Parking
City of Goose Creek Ordinance ยง 71.06 (MINIMUM WIDTH OF ROADWAY REQUIRED TO BE FREE FOR TRAFFIC) states:
No person shall stand or park any vehicle upon a street in such a manner as to leave available less than ten feet of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular traffic, except that a driver shall stop when necessary in obedience to traffic regulations or traffic signs or signals or a police officer.
Carnes Crossroads governing documents Section 10.7 (a) Vehicles states:
Automobiles, non-commercial trucks and vans shall be parked only in garages, driveways, other appropriate spaces or areas designated for parking by the Declarant and/or the Association, or otherwise as permitted by applicable law. No motorized vehicles shall be permitted on pathways, sidewalks, or unpaved areas except for public safety vehicles authorized by the Board. No automobile or non-commercial truck or van may be left upon any portion of the Properties, except in a garage, if it is unlicensed or if it is in a condition such that it is incapable of being operated upon the public highways. Such vehicle shall be considered a nuisance and may be removed from the Properties.
Signs
No signs or displays of any kind shall be erected by or on behalf of an Owner or Occupant without the prior written consent of the ARB except those permitted in accordance with Section 9.6(a) of the Carnes Crossroads governing documents. No signs or other displays shall be posted or erected by or on behalf of any Owner or Occupant within any portion of the Properties, including the Common Area, any Unit or any structure or dwelling located on the Common Area or any Unit, or within any Adjacent Property.
No "for sale" or "for lease" signs shall be permitted within any portion of the Properties. No brochure racks, information tubes, boxes or any other item or object may be placed on or erected within the Properties or attached to or placed on or adjacent to any permitted sign, either permanently or temporarily, without the prior written consent of the ARB.
