Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that reduces strain on limbs and joints and awakens the body to breath & meditation.
As a sedentary society, shouldn't we discover more ways to make the most of our time? In this workshop we allow the chair to replace the yoga mat and become an extension of your body, taking full advantage of yoga's physical and mental benefits, no matter your phase of life or healing. Whether you are rehabilitating an injury, battling an illness, working with disabilities, or simply challenged to get in and out of the floor with ease and grace (due to age or the confines of a small work space) yoga is available to you in many forms.
We are always redefining our relationship with our bodies and minds through the path of our breath and we don't need a mat to experience the balance, calm and power of yoga. Learn how to teach a basic chair sequence to someone you love who may feel intimidated and introduce them to the simplicity of their breath and the healing practice of sitting.
Yoga is not a demographic, a body type or a competition - It is available to all- Discover the unique shape that healing takes in your own body...That is what yoga looks like!
