Save the Date for our 50th Anniversary Gala

Friday, November 25 • Reception: 6:30 PM, Show: 8:00 PM

Evergreen Cultural Centre

2022 marks 50 years since Place des Arts opened its doors to our community. To commemorate this milestone, we are organizing an evening of theatrical fun and extravaganza for our community. This event celebrates Place des Arts’ 50-year history, highlights the importance of the arts and brings the community together.

Under the direction of Susan Bertoia and the production design of Marcus Vaillant, the performance will tell the story of Place des Arts through the blending of narration, music, dance, theatre and visual arts. Join us to bring our vision for the 50th to life and to celebrate Place des Arts through creative connection, storytelling and joy.

Save the date for our Annual Online Auction Fundraiser

Our auction is from October 24 to November 4, 2022, and our goal this year is to raise $15,000. Proceeds from the auction will support program subsidies and community outreach initiatives at Place des Arts to remove financial barriers and create greater access to the arts for under-served children, youth and adults in our community.

Place des Arts is the recipient of the Lieutenant Governors Award

"We are so honoured and thrilled to be one of the 17 organizations across B.C. recognized for our leadership, creativity and community engagement.

This award is a testament to our highly committed, hard-working staff who identify community needs and collaborate with artists and local organizations to deliver programs and new initiatives to meet those needs. Our accomplishments truly reflect our organizational values of Community, Quality and Collaboration."

- Joan McCauley, Executive Director

We also want to thank you! Without your support, Place des Arts would not be the organization it is today.

Transformation Wrap-Up

The end of our 2021/2022 season also marks the end of our year of Transformation. With all the changes that have occurred over the past few years, this year was a great opportunity to celebrate the positive and embrace the not-so-positive things that have occurred.

We are very proud of all we have accomplished and celebrate transformations, big and small, that have helped shape Place des Arts.
