This is a Turkey Mold oyster plate. You can see the overturned shells that give the impression of the feather, and the beak to the left. Turkey plates have always been a favorite of collectors as they come in many colors in this design. As you can see, there is a turquoise background, with green and gold ribbons on this five well plate. Gold on the border, and the plate is marked by the maker on the back, H & C Haviland Limoges. It measures 8-3/4" across, and is a beauty! Excellent condition!
