Happy Labor Day

City Hall and the Community Center will be closed on Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day. The Pool and Tennis Center, located at 11600 Stonebridge Parkway, will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM, with the community pool open from 12 to 4 PM.

City Commission Recap

The City Commission took action on many items during the latest Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 27, including agreements that will work to enhance City services.


The approved items also included resolutions to authorize adjustments to the City's monthly water and wastewater rates.

Sales Tax Holidays

Consumers can purchase qualifying tools and equipment exempt from tax during the 2024 Tool Time Sales Tax Holiday.


The sales tax holiday begins Sunday, September 1 and extends through Saturday, September 7.

Watermain Repair

Cooper City’s Utilities Department responded quickly to a 10-inch watermain break within the Embassy Lakes community on Monday, August 26. The team isolated the break, caused by a longitudinal crack in the pipe, to prevent any major impacts to residents. Repairs were completed in five hours.


We thank Embassy Lakes residents and the community’s homeowners association for your patience and collaboration as the team quickly worked to make repairs.

Cooper Academy

Cooper Academy participants received an overview of the many services provided by our Public Works Department. A presentation was followed by a hands-on look at several vehicles that help keep Cooper City’s services running.

Please follow all guidelines when placing bulk items out for disposal.

TEEN COUNCIL

Application Deadline is Friday, August 30!

The mission of Cooper City's Teen Council is to empower teens ages 13 - 17 with the core values of leadership, accountability, and a heart for service.


Teen Council accomplishes these goals by providing volunteer opportunities, leadership experience, establishing high standards for behavior, and promoting teens to effectively communicate while managing their time and volunteer profiles.


Teens participating in this organization have the opportunity to be involved in programs and events that focus on social and recreational activities, while accruing valuable service hours.

Are You a High School Student in Need of Volunteer Hours, or Know Someone Who Does?


The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Student Assistant Volunteer Program for Cooper City residents. 


High School students can earn volunteer service hours through our Student Assistant Volunteer (SAV) Program. Volunteers can assist staff during Aftercare, Kids Day Off, Winter and Spring Break Camp, and the Parks and Recreation Department's special events.

Defensive Driver Safety Course

Pool and Tennis Center | 11600 Stonebridge Parkway

Friday, September 13 | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM



This course was created specifically for drivers 55 and older. It delivers tips and techniques to help experienced drivers compensate for changing vision, reflexes and response time; understand how prescription medications may affect driving; and drive defensively in a variety of situations. 


$20.00 fee (limited space available). Register at 954.424.4140.


Old Davie School Historic Museum

The Old Davie School invites visitors to experience South Florida’s agricultural past, and its economically diverse region. With artifacts, photographs, articles and maps, a visit to the museum takes visitors back in time to experience the vibrant history that shaped this community.

Step into a Fitness Routine


The Cooper City Fitness Center is located at the Pool and Tennis Center located at 11600 Stonebridge Parkway within the Rock Creek community. An individual annual gym membership starts at only $85.60 for seniors (age 62+). An individual annual membership for Cooper City residents, age 14-61, is $139.10.

Home Watch Program


Did you know the Broward Sheriff's Office Cooper City District has a free Home Watch Program?


With this program, a deputy will check your home regularly while you are away. An exterior check of your home will be conducted to make sure there have been no unlawful entries and that no other obvious problems have occurred outside of your home. To sign up for this FREE service, please fill out the Home Watch form and visit the BSO Cooper City District Office (10580 Stirling Rd.) to complete registration.

My Safe Florida Home


The My Safe Florida Home Program offers eligible home owners the opportunity to make an application for a wind mitigation home inspection free of charge by the State.

Fingerprinting Services


The BSO Cooper City District is now providing complimentary fingerprinting services to Cooper City residents and business owners. Fingerprinting is available by appointment only on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m.

Passport appointments every 15 minutes at City Hall.

What to Do If 911 Does Not Answer:


If a Cooper City resident calls 911 and receives no answer, there's no need to panic. You can call the BSO Cooper City station directly at 954-435-2000. It's worth noting that Cooper City's BSO station is the only BSO district to have a staffed lobby 24/7, 365 days a year.
