Businesses Can Help Support Night To Unite

Each year on the first Tuesday night in August, the Shakopee Police Department hosts "Night to Unite," a summer evening dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the commitment to a safe community. For residents of Shakopee, this is an opportunity to put together a neighborhood celebration, turn on the front porch lights, gather with neighbors and friends, get to know one another, catch up on things, play some games with the kids, enjoy a few hot-off-the-grill favorites, and build a sense of community.

To say thank you to the block captains organizing each party, the Shakopee Police Department puts together “thank you” bags, each of which includes a gift and multiple coupons and freebies from local businesses. If YOUR business would like to donate coupons or freebies, please contact Courtney LaBruyere at 952.233.9478. There are typically 115 block captains. Giveaways must be received by July 21st. Thank you for your support of this event!
