The Class Of 2023 Will Be The 125th Graduating Class In Shakopee!
Schools began operating in Shakopee in 1862. In 1897, Shakopee High School was admitted to the State High School Board. The first graduates of Shakopee High School were in 1898: Ida Dorothy Busse - teacher in Minneapolis and Anna Abell Pope - lived in Newhall, California. This results in the Class of 2023 being the 125th graduating class in Shakopee!
Shakopee High School Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) intern (as part of the Academies of Shakopee), Joaquin Alvarez, designed the above
logo to commemorate this milestone. Each number houses a vital chapter in
the history of Shakopee Public Schools. From the deep Native American roots and
thriving City to the fearless Saber mascot, it is a true representation of Shakopee's
past, present and future
